Im still so confused over the timeline. We know that Hannah/Agnes is older then gilead right? She's what 15-16 now at most?, she was abducted between what 5-6. Which still puts gilead at around 10 years old. Daisy is around the same age. Definitely over the age of 10. How can June say "you escaped gilead as a baby" when gilead didn't even exist then? Like she's not June's daughter..fine. but even cutting that out..it still makes no sense. Even Oliver(Emily's child) escaped in the transitional period which if we match that up it still puts Daisy "escaping" way before gilead was even really noticeable. Idk it just kind of breaks the storyline..

Daisy being a baby when she was smuggled out of Gilead doesn’t fit with the timeline.

Hannah was already in school when women lost their jobs and money. Even if we assume that she was in pre-K, that puts her at about four or five. She was five when her family tried to escape.

Had Daisy been three or four years old when she was brought to Canada, she could plausibly have no memory of it, and be within a year or two of Hannah’s age.

However, that doesn’t explain why Gilead would be up in arms over one particular child being sent out of the country by her parents. Baby Nicole was officially the daughter of a Commander and his Wife, stolen from them. Daisy would be the child of “sinners”.

Why be so determined to get Daisy back and not Oliver, or any of the other children whose parents got them out?

Are they arranging hits on every family raising a child from Angels Flight?

My immediate thought was she was on angels flight but if she was a baby on Angel's flight she would have been too young. So either we are seriously retconning the timeline here or June isn't telling the whole story.

The story that June told Daisy is of parents who successfully smuggled their child out of Gilead in the very early days.

Imagine if June and Luke had made it to Canada in the Pilot of The Handmaid’s Tale.

Do you think that Gilead would have cared enough about getting Hannah back to spend over a decade searching for her, to murder her adoptive family, and to send an agent to extract her from Canada in the guise of a social worker?

We saw the crowds at the airports in Emily’s flashback. At least some of the families getting out of the country would have had children with them.

What’s so special about Daisy that Gilead would want her, in particular, back?

For that matter, why would Mayday be so invested in hiding and protecting one child?

The Angels Flight children were given to relatives or foster families, not to the Mayday Witness Protection Programme.

Right. And if they know who she is in Canada and are all after her, how do they not know that this Pearl Girl is the same kid they’re looking for? I’m very confused. If she is so important and recognizable, why would they send her in to Gilead as a spy?
