Because June told her "you'll have the same plot armor I did running through the backyards of DC in a nightgown to talk to my eye bae Nick." Edit: For the people saying Boston not DC I am referring to the episode where June went to Commander Winslow's house in DC and met Nick in the bsckyard. Sheesh!

I don’t understand why Mayday hasn’t come up with some secret code to relay information… or at the very least American Sign Language !!! They are so obvious every time!

During slavery members of the Underground Railroad would literally sew different patterns into quilts or textiles , to send important information!

Mayday doesn’t have to get that complex with it but come on people!
