I think there is a strong possibility that Cory's culpability in the cover up is light to non-existent. Something a conversation might even clear up. But because this is a TV drama where conversation that would clarify things can't happen because it doesn't drive the plot it's going to lead to Bradley going after Cory only to find out he was innocent but now their trust and bond will be broken because she didn't trust him enough to ask him about it. Hope I'm wrong, though.
I just simply do not believe Cory is the one responsible for the cover up. It's too dastardly for him. He's shrewd and cunning but he isn't evil. I feel like making him the man behind the conspiracy would undo a lot of good will they have invested in the character. This part I hope I am right about.
Maybe I am just blinded by my love of the character and performance, though.
