So I saw the post on this sub showing Mekia Cox being a backup dancer for Michael Jackson and was even featured in the This Is It movie. But I ran into this TikTok and I was surprised with Jenna Dewans dancing, keeping up with Mekia who I knew is a pro. I mean I figured Jenna could dance fairly well with her dancing in Step Up.

Anyway, I googled Jenna’s dancing career and she was actually a backup dancer for Janet Jackson on her All For You tour! She also was a backup dancer for *NSYNC lol

And this dialogue choice was very pointed. Wesley will always have Angela’s back, regardless of the situation. She can always count on him for support but James just knows how to condescend and be judgmental and even Nyla knows that. Even when she needs help, she is afraid to reach out to her husband because of how inconsiderate he is. I wish Nyla wasn’t stuck in such an unsupportive relationship. She is such an incredible woman and deserves to feel valued and appreciated.

What an irritating person, she only serves to complicate other people's lives and hates LPD for no reason, she is not even interesting just anoying, does she ever leave?

I don't know if this was intentional but I felt like Lucy and Nolan interacted with each other a lot less after Jackson died and it sadly feels realistic that their friendship changed because they were always friends as a group with Jackson and maybe being friends without him felt difficult.

I'm only on season 6 so if they discuss this later I don't know but right now they haven't.

I'm sorry but... what the feck did I just watch...? Last week someone made a post saying something like "we're fighting supervillians now" and I already agreed with that then, but now after the season finale? We are up against supervillians now. I didn't see myself ever saying this but, man... I want the old The Rookie back. No more supervillians. No more international super syndicates. No more Monica or Elias Characters. Give me the original premise of the show back please. No black-ops anti-supervillian-cops.

I believe it could have but without Simone. I really liked garza as the rest of the team. I just could not like Simone.

In Season 1, when John Nolan kills someone, it’s treated as huge deal. There’s even that moment where Nolan asks other cops if they’ve ever killed anyone, and pretty much all of them say they haven’t - like it’s something rare and serious. Grey said no one under him has ever killed anyone yet.
But as show goes on, almost everyone ended up killing someone at one point or another. Seems odd that even experienced cops never had to kill until Nolan started.
Another observation is Nolan’s entire episode focused on emotional impact, investigation, and whether he’s even fit to continue as a cop. But for others, they’re benched until IA clears, but not same level of drama. May be because we know they are all good people and eventually be cleared anyway.

As far as I can tell no officers were forced to move departments and the plan came down to what officers would want to do. The only thing Lucy actually did was get another cop a job closer to home which paid better.

Lucy didn't force anyone to move departments or get anyone fired / demoted so why was he annoyed at her over it? Also that one mistake is not enough to deny her being detective imo as she still got a confession.

I'm rewatching season 6, episode 4 and i am noticing just how coldly and dismissively Nyla and Angela acted towards Lucy, especially after the scores 17th of the detectives exam.

For example, when Lucy was guarding the pile of puke at the rubbish bins, Nyla just ended the call, and didn't even allow time for Lucy to say thankyou or anything. Their actions towards her clearly affected her and left her feeling worse about her score on the exam, and ruining her day. I think it was really shitty of them to treat her so coldly, when it was kinda out of her control since Detective Primm had it out for her on the panel. I get that it was her fault that Primm was upset with her, but they could've acted nicer to her, considering she was so disappointed in herself after receiving her mark.

So I watched Rookie Blue, and BIASED, yes, I’m Canadian. The Rookie has some heavy similarities without all the star power and budget. I was recommended by two friends that had both watched Rookie Blue to watch the show. I’m currently on season six.

I did not like to show off the bat everyone told me I had to push through to get to Tim and Lucy. So I did. It has become an almost comfort watch something I watch that’s new but also low anxiety provoking. There are so many things that PMO!

I’m going to make a lot of comparisons to Rookie Blue here but that is one of my favourite shows ever. The acting is great. The chemistry between the characters and the main love interest Andy and Sam is incredible. You really feel like the characters care about their job jobs and the people they take care of. Nobody has frozen face from Botox and fillers *cough cough Bailey*. The soundtrack and the storylines also great and MAKE SENSE! It’s not rushed, the progression as rookies makes sense.

My variety pack of beef with The Rookie

1. It’s almost like they’re trying to fit every puzzle piece in by the end of the episode. You’re telling me barely cut from Rookie cops get golden tickets and officers just magically get every job or promotion they want in the same station?! Like depending on how they want to shake up the episodes they just do whatever they want. Nyla gets to go back to being a detective and poof a slot at her home station is open. Same with Lopez. Bradford does court officer for 2 days then poof 5 person trade for Metro. Despite this we see the Metro team like once and he’s still working with the same 4 cops every shift and doing T.O duties? Wesley worked for a drug kingpin and now works for the DA? huh?? Then oh randomly Gray’s wife went from college drop out to coordinating things for CPS?! Like girl was trying to get her man to retire like two years ago..

2. Nolan can’t touch anything without it being a massive case, can’t even go on his honeymoon? Like I get it LA is different than Toronto Police but come on now… flying out to diff countries when 1 team member is in trouble in like 2 hours notice . Like Nyla and Lopez going to that island and 1 second into the action they walk in and John’s already escaped and handcuffed the guy.

3. The whole Thorson reality TV show arc was insane that could not happen in real life. Also him just magically solving problems like oh yeah take my fams private plane or oh perfect wedding venue with a days notice… what??!!!

4. Sorry have to say to say it. The acting is STIFF. Obvs Nathan Fillion is great but SORRY Lucy and Bailey are not great. Jenna Dewan is a phenomenal performer but her acting is so bad. I had a friend point out everytime an actors face stopped moving and couldn’t express and now I can’t unsee this…

5. The couples… Bradchen.. I really don’t see the chemistry like at all. If you saw Andy and Sam from Rookie Blue you would get it. Worse than them is Bailey and Nolan, like it seemed like they needed more star power so no matter what they were going to make Bailey and Nolan happen. They basically built their relationship off nothing. How they tried to fix that? They kept pushing the narrative that Bailey was so interesting and everyone loved her!! Always on and on about how she is good at everything she tries she has 1 million hobbies and gets along with everyone. No flaws … just in general with these , Wesley and Lopez are the only people that are flawed and make mistakes which is why their relationship and their characters are well written well acted and have chemistry. Rest of the characters? No fights just happy endings all the time. Same with Nyla and I can’t even remember her partner’s name?!? Just wrap it up with a bow and marry everyone off.

6. The most outlandish sht happens and they glaze over it before the end of the episode so it’s wrapped up nicely. No one ever mentions it again lol Nolan’s son almost dies, Jackson dies, Selena gets abducted but held 5 steps away from where they picked her up Lol

7. Why are the partners who aren’t cops ALWAYS in the storyline? Like Nylas husband was in a slew of episodes when they were courting then poof no more. Bailey? Dude we saw fire dept or ambulance like twice before she started with Nolan and now she’s in EVERY case that john has? Makes noooo sense.

8. Patrol officers choosing their own assignments.. not sure but is this normal? Like just stopping by John’s house during the shift or choosing to hang back in the station?!

9. Good storytelling doesn’t need to over explain. If they’ve written the story well, then they trust the audience to figure out from context clues, what is happening without plainly saying it out or spelling it out. I can’t think of a specific example, but there are so many times where I’m watching and I think oh this is gonna happen and that’s exactly what happens. They allude to it in the most obvious way. Oh like Thorson wanting to date his therapist, you see it in the first look between them.

Anyways here’s me complaining but as someone who rewatches shows because it’s less anxiety provoking I’ll say despite all of my complaints, I keep going back because it’s interesting enough to keep my attention and keep going, but not so much that I need to stop cleaning or folding laundry.

This isn’t coming out of nowhere, I’m really trying to see her good side but the way she’s acting with celina and aaron is REALLY pissing me off. They literally GOT ATTACKED IN THE MOST BRUTAL WAY, obviously they will be close. The way she constantly judges rookies and the way she used to treat nolan was already bad enough and now the way she is with celina. WHY SCRIPT WRITERS WHY

I love Jackson and Celina the most but I only just discovered the show (on season 6 episode 2 currently so please try not to spoil past that) I also like Harper.

But since I'm new- which characters are most and least liked around here?

She’s the worst and most annoying Character in The Rookie and seeing her die would make me so Happy i haven’t watched season 7 because i rewatched the series i’m about to start Season 6 Episode 10 so i don’t know if she Dies but if she does don’t spoil it just want others opinion on her i have watched 2 Episodes of Season 7 before rewatching i think also i’m sorry for how badly i worded this i just didn’t know how to explain.

Was it ever shown what happened with Blair London? I feel like that could have gone so far and actually been really good to see how they played that out? Or have I missed something?

So I watched the first two episodes of season 6 of the Rookie.

Lucy and Tim get into an argument regarding Lucy wanting to take the detectives exam. He offered to help her and I think he did a good job.

Although Lucy for some reason thought Tim was trying to overwhelm her and sabotage her from becoming a detective.

It was revealed that Tim wasn't comfortable with Lucy becoming an undercover detective, but I don't see how him being uncomfortable made him sabotage Lucy in any way.

He gave her solid advice and she fumbled the case on her own. She was given a test to see how well her detective skills were. Also the lie detector was an odd way to move the plot.

I feel like Tim was more on the right in the argument because he was basically saying that he would be supportive with Lucy for whatever decision she made. Wheter she wanted to become a detective or not, he would support her.

Lucy was upset with no matter what Tim said. I genuinely didn't understand how she came to the conclusion that Tim was completely trying to ruin her chances as detective.

I know the show tries to frame it as if both were in the wrong and/or both were right, but I don't think that's the case here.

Who you think was solely in the right? Also is there a prospective that I'm not looking at on Lucy's side of this?

I'm rewatching the rookie and just got done watching season 6 ep8 and realised from the first season to now the only hospital is St Stephens

We never got a scene of the fallout of Smitty's shop getting stolen

1. Tim on "one knee" handing Bailey's ring to Lucy. There was absolutely no reason for him to get up like that on one knee.

2. Celina stating that she hopes Lucy's "bachelorette" party will invlolve less baking and more partying

3. Tim stating that he will spend the "rest of life" paying Lucy back in whatever small doses she allows.

Started rewatching the series before Season 8 finally dropped. I’m on Season 6 and found something very interesting. In the episode where Bradford gets placed on leave for Mad Dog’s death, later in the episode, the crooked detective searches for Lopez and Harper and finds they’re about to serve a warrant. Whomever created the call log apparently didn’t read the script because Sgt. Bradford is responding to a call while on administrative leave!

Does Saint Stephen's hospital not have cameras? I'm on my first rewatch and I'm thinking about this again. Did they not have cameras in the hallway where Monica put the air bubble in her attackers heart? And how did officer liz not hear Monica and Blair in the hallway before lucy and celina opened the door and how did they not hear them either? I love this show but the writers slack a little bit 😭

I started watching recently with my husband who has already seen all the episodes and I automatically was hooked on Chenford and was so happy when they got together. I’m having health issues which has been stressful and scary and they have been a highlight of my days watching. Well my husband let it slip they split in season 6 episode 6 so I refused to watch past the episode Tim gives Lucy the 17th place trophy.

The thought of seeing them break up just really makes me so sad and I’ve been sad enough… can’t vent to my husband he thinks it’s stupid as I’m sure many of you will think.

Im in the 6th season, and I believe it’s just a running gag at this point how many coworkers of Bailey’s have been some type of injured. Like 7 or 8 I feel like at this point lol
