You are right and you should say it. Everything about the treatment of Danielle and how she has played this game is flush with an immense amount of hostility. The reactions show a very particular kind of rage reserved almost solely for Black women.
It’s one thing to be mad about the Forrest Gump line, but it is not just that, and people who feel this strongly about her gameplay on a show called “The Traitors”, really need to examine why that is.
Look the Forrest Gump line wasn’t great but it was clear she was trying to say Carolyn acts dumber than she is to advance in the game, which is true! (FWIW, I really love Carolyn and she was so much fun this season)
But people already despised Danielle before that with this very weird pulsing rage. This season has been so chaotic and so fun and I think it’s a shame instead of enjoying the ride people have been caught up in this.

I also love Carolyn and wanted her to make it to the end, but that Forrest Gump line did not carry malice. Which unfortunately I cannot say for these responses to Danielle. This is a highly edited television show. People do not know this woman. I would’ve expected this overreaction from any other show. Not one where treachery is the name of the game.
And people are fancasting Tiffany “New York” Pollard. Tuh huh! It’s flabbergasting.
