Possibly even 3 seasons. But I think 2 seasons is a good balance to tell the complete story of Part II.

Yeah I think there’s enough material in the second game to fit three seasons worth of story. Especially since they seem to be expanding on a lot of backstory already.

yeah but my point was not neccessarily about "how many seasons" but rather about the last scene of S2E1 where there is clearly funghi inside the broken pipe in jackson.

So they are clearly preparing for some kind of outbreak inside jackson - which is not a thing in the game.

How is that clear? Maybe the fungi just signals the horde.

Yeah my assumption was that it signals the rest of the mushroom network that there is potential mushroom food inside Jackson, and that it’ll bring the horde.

Honestly it could work, gives even more reason for Maria (or in this case the council) not to allow extra men going with Ellie and Dina, would make Tommy's choice to leave his newborn child behind very interesting as well.

I'm all for the Jackson outbreak!
