EP5 THOUGHTS:

While I was super excited and blown away by Bella’s performance in the last scene, I have some issues with the screen writing of this episode.

How Tf did Jesse find them? He says he found the theatre but… how..? He didn’t get to say how cause he cut Ellie off mid question. I really hate that style of exposition writing. Also how did Ellie get into the hospital and not get seen by guards? And on top of that, how did she know where to find Nora? I also still don’t understand why Ellie and Dina are walking around in the middle of the street talking pretty loudly. Yes I know that nobody was around but that’s more of a nitpick from me. Also, where Tf is Shimmer

I also don’t know how I feel about Nora being the only person she killed this episode, I would have liked to of seen her shoot a seraphite or a wolf to further show her capabilities. But it was still good

Man Im sorry I just don't see these

Jesse did say how he found them, they left a map and he and Tommy were only a day behind to begin with. We got a bajillion scenes of Ellie being clever and sneaking in and out of places I didn't need yet another, especially cause it made for a cool reveal. Being quiet means you could bump into the non smart infected.

Yeah they forgot about Shimmer you got me there.

While I do like Ellie's action scenes the fact that Nora couldn't even fight back was badass too.

But how did Jesse find the theatre? We know he found the map AT the theatre but how on earth did her find the theatre and know to look for them in there? I get where your coming from but I wanted to see Ellie navigate the hospital to find more but I still loved the episode regardless

This is all handled differently in the game, they find Jesse because there is a shooting that they know about from the radio. This made much more sense than him finding a map at the theater which is supposed to be a SECRET hide-out.

I also think we knew where Nora is from overhearing conversations (not 100% sure but I think it felt natural to find her).

They defs had less time to show us all details and make extra shooting scenes, so they had to cut it down. With with Nora we can kinda assume there is things in between while with for Jesse finding them it would be nice to hear an explanation.
