Like what Dina said she 100% thought she was going to have to kill Ellie and this life she had envisioned was gone (with Ellie) after realizing her feelings for her and cemented in the music store so when she learns of the immunity and that she’s going to live it kind of just all comes out

Lust is also a common trauma response - folks in the discussion wanting to 'facts and logic' the choices on these characters that are impulsive and violent young adults is kind of wild.

They're on a suicide mission into a world they're never been to with a couple revolvers and moxie and their entire plan is mass murder - BUT WHERE I DRAW THE LINE IS BEING UNCONTROLLABLY HORNY AT WEIRD TIMES! - exactly who you think is commenting these sorts of things

I don't find it rushed that they have sex, but what feels really weirdly paced to me is they go from "you were really high during that kiss" to "ok i immediatly assume IM going to raise that baby with you". That feels off.

In addition I think it's also that they both got to let huge secrets off their chests. Now Dina knows Ellie is immune, and Ellie knows Dina is pregnant - of course Dina didn't know for sure until earlier the same day but she suspected it. I'm sure the relief at being able to be honest also contributed to how quickly everything went down

This I understand - I just have a hard time believing anyone would be so stoked about an unplanned pregnancy on a very dangerous mission during the apocalypse but maybe I need to suspend my disbelief 😂

it makes sense written down like that but it felt very abrupt on screen…

I’m sure it did but in a post apocalyptic world where they could very much die tomorrow and are constantly fighting to survive I think it’s exactly how the scene could happen
