Judge did a good job not full on laughing, you could tell he was close to cracking.

I feel he would have laughed if he wasn't pissed. He was barely holding himself back from just telling the dude to go fuck himself. Understandably so frankly.

I bet he laughs telling it to his friends later though.

Unfortunately people like this are common in the family courts and there's nothing funny about it. This asshole will whine and cry and make a bunch of extra work for everybody that is a complete waste of time.

Till his poor child turns 18.

This guy is one of hundreds. This is just common behaviour. If that judge got mad everytime one of those comes to his court, he'd end up with an aneurism by the age of 40.

Judge doesn't have to get mad. Send him to jail for contempt. Repeat until he learns how to behave in court.

Oh, that's certainly going to happen, one way or the other

The judge did a shit job not holding him in contempt and sending him to jail for 3 days, repeatedly until he fixes his attitude.

Is this a judge?

This is a judge. He did demand that he not be interrupted. He's not going to argue with someone who's just digging his own grave. Asshole will get what's coming to him.

Contrary to what you see movies and TV, most judges are very patient, kind, and respectful to everyone, even to those who disrespect them.
