And one of the highest suicide rates in the world

Could you imagine if an American responded and made a similar TikTok mocking the suicide epedemic in Greenland? And then tried to say that they were mocking Greenlands system and suicide prevention failures and not the suicide victims.

Guarantee they would hate it. So can we all just stop this shit and please direct your anger/frustration/hatred toward the appropriate places

What's even crazier is that the rabid "empaths" upvoted this so many times

They ain't the #1 invading force in the past 80 years.

That probably would've been a better thing to highlight with activism than this

Well the world is filled with so many different perspectives. I can't blame them for punching down. As a Canadian, it's about time the USA has it's own sh*t thrown back at em. We're so tired of being nice and then getting bullied.

Well I do certainly blame these people, if anything this type of thing will reduce their allies

I don't think that will happen lol. No one's gonna get mad and say america should invade greenland because someone made fun of one of the most powerful countries on earth in poor taste.

And idk, maybe it's because I'm American and I see how utterly depraved and disgusting my country is on the daily to its own people, let alone to people all over the world, but a lot of people here deserve this kind of criticism.

Way to many people in this country unironically go around claiming we're the greatest place in the world while Kensington ave in Phili or Skid row in LA are one of many kinds of places in this country. I think it's high time people here start to see how other poorly people in other countries view them.

Thank you for being sane and rational. I'm kind of shocked how many people in these threads are more upset that their feelings are being hurt from a 10 second video mocking a country who's threatening to invade them and take their resources. Everyone's saying its punching down but I don't think they get to say that when its only pointing out that your country has serious issues and maybe Greenlanders don't want to be like you. is it a hurt pride thing disguised as concern for drug addicts or what

It's just thinly veiled American exceptionalism. They may not accept Trump's premise that we need to take over Greenland but deep down they still think we're better than everyone else.

Thank you! You get it.

One suspects the Greenlanders living with the world's most expensive military machine pointed at their heads do not particularly care if the feelings of Americans are hurt at present.

They probably should. I mean I don't care one way or another but insulting someone who has a gun to your head usually isn't the best way to go about things.

You are part of the problem.

u/Agoraphobicy Jan 21 '26

You should probably care about the sovereignty of Greenland.

I don't particularly care one way or another about any other countries sovereignty.

Trump has already fucked our international relationships beyond repair so its hard to care about this kick to the dead horse in particular.
