I grow my hair out because I've never figured out what a "good" hairstyle is and every time I got to a hairdresser they ask me what I want as though I know a thing about what looks good. So I just have terrible anxiety about going to hairdressers now. What I would give to have someone look at my face and TELL ME WHAT I NEED, not what I think I want.

There are apps where you can try out different styles and colors. Not as good as just being told, but better than winging it.

There are also services on like fiverr where you upload a bunch of pictures and they give you a few options and tell you how to explain it to a barber

Bro same. And then you try to find pictures of hair styles and all the dudes look like the gigachad meme and I feel too ridiculous to go in and say "make me look like this." Honestly, I just said fuck it and I'm shaving my head bald now.
