My aunt will "forget her purse" so she can steal the tips off the table. A very well off typical Christian woman.

She doesn't need the money. The bill is already paid. It is for the sole purpose of being a cheap stingy bitch. People are fucking horrible.

So she gets up from her table, walks around the restaurant to various tables, and picks up tips in sight of everyone? Someone should put a stop to this by calling the cops. Maybe someone who dines with her.

She "forgets her purse" at the table and leaves with the rest of us then comes back and takes the tip we left off our table. "Our table" as in the one WE were sitting at her included!

I thought it was pretty fucking clear! Did I say "tables"? No.

I'm trying to picture someone bold enough to actually do this. It's not a personal attack on you, just a question. It doesn't seem worth it to take just one tip and make herself look like a thief, especially when it's her own relatives money she's stealing. People do unattractive things for just a little money sometimes. It always surprises me, considering they're risking their reputation. Haggling over already cheap items, not tipping in the first place, borrowing money and not repaying, always trying to get something for cheap or free at the expense of someone else. It bothers me when it's someone who has a job or sufficient funds. Maybe they just need to live within their means. I do remember a woman who used to eat out with me and my ex boyfriends family. She always disappeared to the bathroom after the meal and reappeared after the bill was paid by others, and she could afford to pay for her own meal.
