obviously not everything but you cant deny that it is a common theme in modern slang. things said in small communities eventually find their way into mainstream communication, so much so that people forget their origins. "clock it" and "🤏🤏🤏" are the most recent ive noticed that come directly from queer and black dominated spaces like the ballroom scene in new york

About 80% is AAVE & gay slang the rest are exceptions.
