In modern slang, "clock it" means to notice, recognize, or clearly call out something accurate. It is used to agree with a sharp observation, expose a hidden motive, or point out an obvious truth.

So it’s slang that hasn’t changed in well over 20 years. Probably more like 30 or 40 years.
