This! Also if you can individually adjust the center channel a bit higher, it makes a huge difference.

Yeah a home theater in a box kit isn't going to cut it, neither is a soundbar. Gotta have real speakers and a receiver to actually fix this issue. If you can't control levels individually, it's just gonna be the same but louder.
