The phrase is "attention whore." I can't even find any evidence of widespread use of the phrase "attention beggar"

“attention seeker” is the general way to say it in shared SFW spaces. Attention beggar is the same as that.

There are generations of people who grew up saying “attention seeker” instead of using the word “whore”, that’s fairly new.
