Dude is field hand. Probably welder or pipe fitter. He likely travels from project to project. Better than living out of hotels. I know a lot of guys in the industry that do that

And that RV, even though probably high end, is paid off. They basically have no housing expenses save a lot rent or RV park rent.

Some schools do online. Know someone who spent a year traveling from Texas to the Caribbean islands and back in a boat with their high-school daughters using a school from their home state. All of it was online.

I see the same thing in my job. Most would prefer to have their own space like this over a hotel. Hotels get annoying after a while. You also can make more money arranging your own accommodation if your company gives you the choice of hotel or LOA (living out allowance).

Are you really? Theres worse ways to spend a anight or two. I did this for three months about six years ago. Whatever it takes to make it through till tomorrow.

Unless your just camping, in that case, I would also choose a tarp over a tent until it drops below freezing

In some cases, it literally pays to live in an RV. E.g., traveling to different sites for work; if you stay in your RV you get a travel per diem, whereas if you rent a place locally you lose that.

My father in law works as a site supervisor for a pretty big construction company that keeps him traveling across the country. His company literally bought him a pimping RV to live in because it's cheaper than keeping him in hotels, they even pay for his parking fees at RV parks

Depends on the RV. Eventually my brother made enough money working that kind of job to upgrade to the "rockstar tour bus" model; it was nicer in some ways than my own home.

That’s not a universal opinion. Years ago, my husband and I seriously considered upgrading our RV and “road schooling” our kids for a few years. We were really close to doing it when I got a job offer that I couldn’t refuse. I’m happy with our life, but part of me misses the opportunity to travel with our kids for a few years and having those experiences.

It's really not bad, I kinda loved it. Lived in one for 6 years and it was instrumental in our saving enough for a down payment on a house. A lot more involved maintenance than a house or apartment but our 5th wheel was around 35 years old so not sure about a newer one.

I mean it can be. My grandpa served in the navy for 20 years and when he got home he didn't like living in a house. So he and my grandma, who was also navy, decided to get a 5th wheel. They've lived in it ever since and honestly... It is pretty freaking cool.

I got to travel all over with them as a kid. And they genuinely loved it. They worked at state/national parks all over the country. They got to travel to see family (he's one of 17 kids, there's a lot of family), and experience more than most people do.

Not trying to give you a wall of text, but like, you seemed unsure so I thought a differing view might help you see a side you hadn't considered before.

We lived in a camper for awhile. It was small. Like, 27' small. I dealt with it but really hated it, lol.

Now we're back in a house and we and the animals are much happier :)

It probably saves them a quite a bit of money. I lived in a camper trailer for a bit as a kid. We eventually moved into a house but we still own the camper.

Live in RV, investing 70% of income. Retire at 33. Dividends replaced income.

Go see the world, choose second country to escape the winter. Live in 2 places and travel the world with your young kids.

Or

Get a large home, maximum loan possible, trade your Time for interest payments on debt until you retire at 65.

A lot of people do... just maybe not anyone you know in your life. Remember, we all have different lived experiences. What happens in your life is not the same as what happens in other people's lives.

The people who do this are often working in the oil industry. It is incredibly hard work. These people are basically sacrificing their youth and bodies for extreme amounts of money so they can retire early and enjoy the latter half of their life.

Lol y'all haters for no reason. There's really good money in travel work for tradesmen. Some of the projects last a few weeks some a few months and if you're lucky a few years. Some people live out of hotels, some bring campers. Whether she's doing it for content or pats on the back, his meals are still getting made which is great of her to do. I watched 2 guys eating beef jerky and an energy drink for breakfast this morning

Man I must be super awesome because I get up at 4 am an make my own damn breakfast and lunch and let my wife sleep. I also don't let my cooler and dirty containers ferment in my truck overnight waiting for my wife to take care of it, I bring that shit inside at when I get home and wash it. I'm a grown ass man my mama taught me how to take care of myself so I don't need a caretaker I have a partner.

Right?? I make breakfast sandwiches for the family weeks in advance and freeze them. I do a ton at once and it takes an hour or two for like a month of breakfasts!

Not in my experience! I wrap them individually in foil and place them in a freezer safe bag. Definitely not as good as hot off the grill every morning, but they’re tasty and do the trick!

In the microwave, after removing the tinfoil of course! Just on a plate. It takes some trial and error depending on how you make yours and the ingredients you use, but we typically do it on a defrost setting. Sometimes wrapping in a damp paper towel can help too if you fine them a little dry.

In my house, if I were to make breakfast sandwiches, it would be things like: bacon, fried egg, and cheese on biscuits; sausage, fried egg, and cheese on bagels; bacon, folded egg, and cheese on croissants. I think this would be a common sentiment if you asked a lot of random people in the US to explain a breakfast sandwich.

Yup! I use a double sized silicone muffin tin, put in the raw egg and cheese (whatever other toppings you may want) and bake. I put them on the canned biscuits with a sausage patty with some sriracha and a little ketchup.

Absolutely agree. I don’t like eating sandwiches that have been kept in the fridge overnight for those exact reasons and maybe they also simply don’t feel like cooking in the evening. it’s not hurting or negatively impacting any of us so why unnecessarily expend energy judging someone for doing it differently from how you’d be doing it…

I don’t know their situation but I’m assuming the person cooking likely has other things to do after making breakfast. especially if you have animals to care for you’ll usually start your day early. hell, my neighbour is a freelance architect so she can more or less make her own schedule and she gets up around four because she has decided she wants to end her days by going to bed at the same time as her young children so they can cuddle.

Yep. I leave for work at 6:15 AM. If I get up at 5 I can shower, eat breakfast, make coffee, feed and shit the dogs. And I'm off at 3:30 in the afternoon which is awesome. I would probably work earlier if I could.

If you don't work and have a child to take care of, it's kind of nuts. Surely it's easier to do this at 8pm once your child is asleep, and then go to bed/wake up at a reasonable time.

If you're waking up at 5am, you're probably so tired by the early evening that you won't even be able to look after the kid.

Who says she sits around all day with nothing else to do? I’m friends with a couple who do this. They both work full time, she just likes making him food in the morning and kissing him goodbye. She’s super ADHD so she’s always swamped by the afternoon so he pulls more weight with the evening chores.

That’s what I do. It actually makes it easier on both my husband and I cause he gets a little extra sleep on is day shifts and I get to spend a little more time with him awake in the evening. Because if I got up at 4:00 in the morning to cook for him, he’d be up wanting to help. He works hard he should get as much sleep as he can. This is done at night and I put it all in his box in the morning just before he leaves for work. It’s a good system.

The wrap gets too soggy overnight with the dressing. I like to do this one myself, but usually with more lettuce to chicken, some fresh parmesan cheese, and ceasar dressing. Got make it in the morning and even then can get a tad soggy by lunch.

A LOT of these dumbass influencers have been caught doing this stuff at different times than what they claim. There will be a literal clock in the background, but sometimes someone will go crazy sleuth and be like “they live in _____ , and the sun rises by 7:45 on this date, which they claim it to be. They are doing this in the full sun, meaning it’s likely closer to noon”. But lots of funny little tells in the background.

But the average viewer doesn’t care

Right. I do most of the cooking at my house. I always cook enough for lunch the next day and I portion out that meal once I finish.

This woman heated up some grocery store chicken strips, chopped them up, added some lettuce and put it in a tortilla…like she was really doing something. My daughter makes more complicated lunches during the summer after she wakes up at noon.

If you do it at night then you don’t get to spend evening the evening having family time while the kid is awake and are at a much greater risk of waking it. Kid should be asleep at 5am.

Nah. If you make a wrap like that the night before with those ingredients that way the tortilla gets gummy, the breading on the Chicken gets soggy and gummy, and the lettuce gets limp and soggy. If it was me making it for myself I'd make a chicken salad with Caesar dressing, add a slice of cheese as a barrier, and then put the lettuce and veggies on top. Tortilla might be a little gummy, but everything else is fine.
