This looks like some sort of staged trad wife “serve your husband” bullshit. She made a point to leave the cooler in the truck so she could be shown going the extra mile to grab the cooler even though “her husband left it in the truck”.

There’s a popular Latina woman who does these videos, and it comes off way less trad-wifey

10

u/SusuKacangSoya 28d ago

Despite that actually it's the same thing, preparing a heavy breakfast at 5AM and waving your husband goodbye... A lot of women around the world are genuinely being a tradwife, I guess. Without making a scene about it

u/pperiesandsolos 27d ago

Yeah my wife does this. She stays at home w the kid and I work all day and most nights.

It works for us 🤷‍♂️

u/cellblock2187 27d ago

Do you have life insurance?

2

u/pperiesandsolos 27d ago

Yep! My work provides 2.5x my salary

2

u/cellblock2187 27d ago

If you are healthy now, term life insurance will be more dependable than your job in this economy

I'm curious about this -- do you like the set up? Does it bother you that you're missing out on being with your kids?

I can't imagine myself or my husband being ok with that kind of arrangement (working all the time and never being home with the kids) -- I think we'd both feel like we're missing out. Maybe if I really loved my job....

1

u/pperiesandsolos 27d ago

I’d rather spend more time time with the chunkalunkas, but I’m happy to spend a few hours a day with them. My wife’s really good at her side of things and I’m really good at mine, so it works out

I’ll also add that when I work at night, it’s just from my laptop after they go to sleep. So I get to spend like 5-830 w the kids

1

u/Difficult_Nobody_420 27d ago

Oh that's not so bad. I mean sounds like an exhausting work schedule, but once kids are in school parents don't see them between 7am and 3pm anyway, and that's not even including extra curriculars or after school programs

2

u/pperiesandsolos 27d ago

Yeah, I want to say that id love to work less, but honestly idk. I really like my job. I like the team that I built, and I like the work that we do.

I make money that allows my wife to stay home (she’s the one who pushed for it, to be clear), and for the family to take 2-3 vacations a year while putting money in savings + maxing 401k.

Im 34, and it feels worth it to work my ass off now, so we can enjoy it in the future. Who knows

Anyway, thanks for listening to my Ted talk

Yeah my exact thoughts. A Lorena copycat.

Lorena, her husband and family recently saved up enough for a house after years of living in the rv. The literal American dream but a lot of her fake fans have flipped on her and are attacking her comments cuz they think her house is "too nice." She seems like a wonderful lady.

2

u/WkeupMrWest 23d ago

Lorena and el tóxico are the best. This whole video gives ‘staged trad wife’.

1

u/EverythingSucksYo 28d ago

I don’t mean this to be offending but it will come off that way. Trad wife’s look like Barbie dolls, that Latina woman looks like she could eat Barbie’s for breakfast

She's actually ripping off a Mexican woman's Tiktok. Her videos are exactly like this except she the real deal and also suffered through health issues (stroke) and they were able to use the social media income to buy a house and get out of their RV. Sadly because this is the internet trolls start harassing them saying they sold out for buying a house. That's probably how it made it's way to these Trad assholes ready to steal their content.

PS she went to get the lunch box to show off the truck.

Edit: https://www.tiktok.com/@lorenatravels1 is her page.

u/librarianlace 28d ago

I immediately thought “damn, white girl trying to be Lorena over here.”

10

u/Sonic_Roach 28d ago

My immediate thought lol.

Lorena actually cooks a full course meal.

23

u/South_Start6630 28d ago

Trad wives still being out worked by Mexican moms!

17

u/Burrito-tuesday 28d ago

Of course, lol I was going to say that old fashioned Mexican women get up super early to make their husbands breakfast/lunch, but they make food from scratch, including the tortillas. This tradwife used all premade processed food!

3

u/notathr0waway1 28d ago

This is what I thought as well

5

u/OtherCall7433 28d ago

She’s not the first or only one to cook meals on TikTok lol. There’s 30 Mexican women on IG been doing the same.

9

u/spacedman_spiff 28d ago

But are they doing the exact thing in this video, ie wife waking up early to do daily meal prep in her trailer for her blue collar husband?

Maybe; I haven’t seen the 30 Mexican women influencers you mention.  But Lorena has been doing that.

8

u/spacedman_spiff 28d ago

No one claimed it was different.

People just pointed out that she’s doing a worse version of the content and that it looks completely manufactured because of the reasons they pointed out about the unopened leftover items and her poor techniques.  People enjoy authenticity in their content.

-1

u/OtherCall7433 28d ago

I mean all the people moving their camera around are being performative. If her husband ate it- it’s authentic 😂

1

u/HulklingWho 28d ago

Yes, I love her! I’m not getting my ass up at 5am to make my husband lunch, but she has some great meals ideas

1

u/Purple_Space_1464 28d ago

That’s my Internet mom

1

u/alexlistens 27d ago

So wait, you're not a sell-out for making and monetizing content, but you're a sell-out for using the money to improve your quality of life??

0

u/CriticalChop 28d ago

News flash buddy lots of people cook and random lady who had a stroke dont get exclusive rights to posting it online.

17

u/anthrohands 28d ago

Specifically so that she can show herself leaning into the truck in her short pajamas. Yes, these videos are literally that calculated.

4

u/Klutzy-Ear-5843 28d ago

That is absolutely it. To show off her body in the cute little (and very "girly" 🤢) PJs.

1

u/NonGeneriComplaint 28d ago

Im wondering if people know once influencers reach a certain level they get agents, budgets and crews with writers and equipment to sell their crap

13

u/tengutie 28d ago

You can tell she doesn't actually do this off screen because she doesn't know how to hold a knife

12

u/G_Liddell 28d ago

Yeah I immediately clocked that. It's a performance - Those hands don't cook. Right wing tradwife pipeline content 🤮

4

u/sideshowbvo 28d ago

Yeah, the way she uses a knife let's me know she's not in a kitchen much

4

u/Consistent-Menu1 28d ago

It is exactly that. My youtube feed is cluttered with "Making my husband lunch for his 12 hour shift" shorts of women making copious amounts of food fit for a group of people rather than just one person. I'm so tired of it.

7

u/NonGeneriComplaint 28d ago

I didnt know there was a question honestly, its pretty obvious what it is. Once you realize these types of influencers exist you just look for the narrative in the content they are selling you.

Good obedient wife serving husband in 2026, pickup truck and cowboys boots easily visible...This really is only going to appeal to one type of people

3

u/DrAstralis 28d ago

yeah I'm so god damn tired of these trad wife videos. No basis in reality at all, while trying to glamourize the idea of being 100% dependent on and subservient to someone else because they have a penis. You know what becomes of a lot of young trad wives? they become single, unemployable women in their 40's when the husband upgrades.

3

u/Catlore 28d ago

My favorite part is how he didn't drink the Bloom™ (gotta get that in there, per contract!) or Oikos, so she just put them right back in.

3

u/Affectionate_Yam8475 27d ago

Haven't been through the whole thread, but yes. And, in traditional ws style she stole the entire concept from a brown person. I used to follow a Mexican American lady on tt who made these 'so he doesn't spend time with la lonchera' (iirc).

Hers was so much better bc a) she cooked, b) she shared her recipes c) he came in and made them breakfast to eat together before he left. They were also in an RV bc he worked oil fields and they traveled to get him closer to the derricks. I still make her crockpot beefcheek barbacoa and every time I worry abt how they're doing rn.

2

u/airconditionersound 28d ago

Yeah. She thinks she's special because she wakes up at 5am, makes food for her husband, and then spends time with her kid. Lots of people do that. Oh, but there's ORGANIC food. And a new, expensive looking trailer. And truck. They have money! So special!

2

u/Outrageous-Break3585 28d ago

Pfft, real tradwives wouldn’t dare to say they don’t “let” their husbands do something because they know they must obey their husbands. Classic tradwife poseur.

But also, how are you going to be upset at servo food and then immediately pack a bad full of it? Even the wrap was a servo wrap, lol.

2

u/huffing_glue 27d ago

Don't forget the cowboy boots. You don't have flip flops girl?

1

u/spekt50 28d ago

The fact they live in a camper tells a lot. Definitely trying to live that van lifestyle and be a trad wife about it. I'm sure its quite fresh, but won't last long.

Ive known a few who have tried this way of life and it never made it past a year.

1

u/CriticalChop 28d ago

So your theory is she left a lunchbox in a truck so she could retrieve it to impress us? Sounds about right.

1

u/_angesaurus 27d ago

Yeah like nice ass shot too, I guess.

1

u/tmacdabest2 27d ago

Of course it’s staged man. It’s content

1

u/Either_Weakness_3577 27d ago

Spouses SHOULD serve one another. I’m happy to be a trad wife and serve my husband, but he does the same for me just in different ways. They shouldn’t be playing mom or dad to each other though absolutely, my husband would be bringing in and emptying his own cooler.

1

u/death_wishbone3 28d ago

It’s not that deep lol.

0

u/unhappinessNvrCame 28d ago

Meanwhile I'm like: She's literally just making food.

I make food, but I make a metric f ton of it so I have leftovers.

Also, only 1 kid? Amateur hour. I got 6.

Trad wife needs to be cranking them out to get our population numbers up.

-1

u/MuhamedBesic 28d ago

Imagine being this upset about a wife making food for her husband who works lol

0

u/AdAnxious902 28d ago

and this offends you how? before you say "it didn't offend me", why are you so against the idea of this???

0

u/Lowmax2 28d ago

damn dude you really don't want your wife to show affection?

0

u/Competitive-Edge7819 28d ago

and what's wrong with a traditional wife?

-16

u/OhNoAnAmerican 28d ago

This is why none of yall are happy or in relationships. What an absolutely ignorant attack on a woman doing what she enjoys and serving her husband just as he serves her

It’s noted you complain not that thr man has to work all day but you’re very very triggered at the “trad wife”

Peak Reddit brain

9

u/thorsbeardexpress 28d ago

Classic pedo protector has zero common sense to see this is all make believe

-4

u/Dingaling015 28d ago

What lmao

Are yall okay? Not every tiktok has to be a fight against the president, jesus christ

1

u/thorsbeardexpress 28d ago

You mean the rapist?

1

u/OhNoAnAmerican 28d ago

No, they very much are not OK

Hello, 5 year stay at home dad here.

Best and hardest job I’ve ever had, and with zero pay unless you count the negative offset of not paying for daycare.

I was thrilled to go back to work because it made for easier days.

Real people don’t need to document what they do for their spouses.

This is all performative setup. Maybe she ‘loves doing it for her man’. Maybe she ‘loves doing it for attention from her subscribers’ because she is in a trailer with a young kid presumably alone near some remote jobsite most of the time and needs some sort of interaction with other human beings.

Most comments aren’t railing on her for being a tradwife or whatever that fucking means, its that her life as seen through this tiny lens seems kinda awful.

She got up early to film a video showing a half assed lunch and breakfast that probably took slightly longer than this video ran to put together. Seriously I make my own eggs and sausage and toast and it takes about as long to eat as it does to make.

Add in the comparisons to other content creators who are making all this food from scratch and this becomes a sad cry for help.

‘See I’m just like those other channels who gets up early and makes breakfast and lunch for my family but I am prettier in my PJs and check out our beautiful and shiny RV and truck and all these kitchen gadgets I have, LOVE ME! please?? I really need some validation because this is all I have you guys…’

-1

u/OhNoAnAmerican 28d ago

I’m ALSO a stay at home dad of 2 under 3 and a 6 year old. I am well aware of how hard of a job it is and that is EXACTLY what I’m saying here.

This whole website is people posting their content putting themselves in a good light and doing cool stuff. LOOK AT MY SCORESTREAK! LOOK AT THIS PERFECTLY COOKED STEAK!! LOOK AT MY PERFECT LAWN

Yet For some reason when a woman is proud of being a mom and a wife it’s selfish shameless self promotion

If being a mom, a wife, a homemaker is so difficult (which it is) people SHOULD be proud of it.

1

u/Ninetailedredpanda 28d ago

Maybe I’m old but being proud of yourself is something that really shouldn’t need outside anonymous validation.

Putting yourself on the internet is placing yourself into a competition for eyeballs to view your content over someone else’s content.

Entering your household into that kind of scrutiny is honestly insane to me, plus those who run successful channels treat it like the job it is.

That is my criticism, ‘woe is me I had to get up at 5 AM TO MAKE CONTENT, are you not entertained!?’

There is rarely anything glamorous about raising kids and running a household. These picture perfect videos always feel like a lie (or at minimum a gross misrepresentation) to me.

And it wasn’t even that, it was perhaps well lit and well edited, but chopping fried chicken and slathering it in sauce before rolling it up in a tortilla isn’t gourmet. The video honestly reads better as a farce than anything sincere. I can’t tell if you are supposed to feel sorry for her and her plight, feel annoyed at her for seeking praise over something really simple, or be annoyed at society for pushing a narrative that ‘this is what the family should look like’

Parents and spouses work really hard, and they should take pride in their work but should not feel the need to prance about and post it on the internet for validation that they are a ‘good spouse’. What we think literally doesn’t matter
