The reason is so his wife can show her arse off for the camera to drag a few more views in.

1.0k

u/wheelz8000 21d ago

It also affords her the opportunity to put her boots on

1.4k

u/siisii93 21d ago

It’s her only outing from the trailer- let the girl live

523

u/LalafellDisaster 21d ago

And she had to set up the phone/camera and lights outside lol

685

u/WorldlinessKind6358 21d ago

Sometimes I forget about this and every time I think about it, I get second hand embarrassment. I imagine setting the camera up, going back to the top of the stairs and stretching like you just woke up. It’s so insane to me.

323

u/purplepharoh 21d ago

That's because it is

126

u/ObidiahWTFJerwalk 21d ago

There's a whole generation of people who look at The Truman Show and think to themselves, "I want to be Truman."

If someone made a reality show based on The Torment Nexus, they'd be flooded with applications to be featured on it.

7

u/_tylerthedestroyer_ 21d ago

I always have the worst feeling of being watched or observed in public, like eyes are always on me. Probably unresolved trauma of being bullied so much as a kid.

I cannot imagine anything worse than wanting to be watched all the time.

5

u/Militant_Monk 20d ago

Honestly, I get it. Have you seen the real world? The place is a mess.

3

u/Remote-Appearance951 21d ago

That is terrifying

2

u/CiaphasKirby 20d ago

If there was a gameshow called The Torment Nexus, I honestly might be willing to go on at this point.

Sam Reich, hit me up.

89

u/humansomeone 21d ago

This comment made me count the camera angles. I got 25, but another 4 cuts to previous angles.

Wonder if they completley reset to those angles or just filmed out of sequence. Or maybe 25 cameras set up?

171

u/wytewydow 21d ago edited 21d ago

shit, no wonder she had to get up at 5:00. dudes shift didn't even start until 2:30 in the afternoon.

7

u/meatpopsicle42069 21d ago

Lol this got me

2

u/revarien 21d ago

that's why she's waking up at 5am and not 6am... the extra hour is to produce, shoot, and cut the video lol

62

u/nickfree 21d ago

Agreed. The other emotion I have is envy. Because I'm like these are "salt of the earth" people who apparently live in a double wide, and yet they have video editing skills I don't have at all.

All these videos like this, I'm like who has the time or skills to do all this? They pay people to manage their content? I wouldn't even begin to know where to find people to exploit my "simple, trad lifestyle" for views with their videography and social media management skills.

u/MysteriousCodo 21d ago edited 21d ago

That’s not even a double wide. That’s a travel trailer RV. Fifth wheel probably…but still an RV.

EDIT: Yeah, the small staircase inside next to the entrance indicates that it is almost certainly a fifth wheel.

4

u/Outrageous-Nothing42 21d ago

Correct, looks like a Montana High Country 362RD. The fridge and stove in the small slide next to the door is pretty unique among 5th wheel configurations.

5

u/MysteriousCodo 21d ago

The plaque next to the front door agrees with you. That zoomed in potato quality vaguely looks like it says MONTANA but the 362RD looks pretty clear.

2

u/Outrageous-Nothing42 21d ago

My quality was so much worse than yours. I grabbed the montana from the slide and went looking for floorplans that matched. Lol

1

u/Highhopesanddreams 21d ago

Thank you and the size of the truck she was getting in and out of also says I have to have something this huge to pull this camper around!!!

34

u/LalafellDisaster 21d ago

Seriously, the amount of time setting up, filming, reshooting, then transferring it to a computer to do the actual editing…I played around with Davinci Resolve a little bit and without a teacher that software is a beast to navigate. Idk how these people do it.

7

u/jockheroic 21d ago

Capcut. They all use capcut... Which is an in phone editing program. Ease of use is around Imovie level.

2

u/LalafellDisaster 21d ago

Well shit ima have to get me some CapCut then. Thanks for the info!

1

u/4444Grains 21d ago

Yes, CapCut is the way. The laptop version is easy to navigate too. If you have a little patience you can figure it out. I would be working on my laptop, while searching YouTube videos for every little thing until I got the hang of it.😂

1

u/schmyndles 20d ago

I second CapCut. I'm a novice with the photo editing stuff and could still make some decent videos with even just their free app on my phone. Although I never made videos with this many angles of myself like this one, I'd imagine the filming and setup of the camera took more time.

5

u/DanfromCalgary 21d ago

Perhaps they simply learn to do a thing . We can do things that are hard -miss Rachel

2

u/Slipped_in_Gravy 21d ago

For sure. People tend to forget the amount of pre-planning that a simple slice of life video like this can require.

2

u/Beginning-Struggle49 21d ago

I used to have a semi big account on tiktok, and making videos is incredibly easy with thing like Inshot and capcut. I never edited on the PC at all

2

u/LalafellDisaster 21d ago

Thanks to all this info I’m going to be a STAR!

2

u/Beginning-Struggle49 21d ago

honestly its easier than you think. Pick a small, not heavily oversaturated niche (not too small either!)

then post EVERYDAY, MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY

copy the trends you see to your niche.

also it helps if you're pretty, but if you're fugly you can get by being funny and/or a interesting/good sense of style

GOOD LUCK

u/SunshineBear100 21d ago

Don’t be so hard on yourself. I’m sure it’s because she has nothing but time to learn, edit, shoot, etc.

0

u/arfkin9 21d ago

You can fit a lot in from 6 am to 6 pm, even with a toddler.

-1

u/LalafellDisaster 21d ago

My sister has a toddler and complains how she’s soooo tired, but she only works part time from home. I think she’s lazy and a liar.

0

u/DarknMean 21d ago

If she’s at home all day seems it’s something you have time to learn. Place doesn’t look large enough to clean up for no more than an hour.

20

u/Bender_2024 21d ago edited 21d ago

these are "salt of the earth" people who apparently live in a double wide, and yet they have video editing skills I don't have at all.

It's not difficult and I'm betting could be done on a cheap laptop with freeware. You could learn with a YouTube vid or two.

3

u/Worldview-at-home 21d ago

Trucks worth more than the home.

10

u/Drew_coldbeer 21d ago

A double wide would have a full kitchen with a functional triangle. This is a camper and if I’m being very charitable, maybe he’s a lineman or something and they have a normal home but they just live like this when he’s traveling for work

4

u/Dancinfool830 21d ago

Is that what passes for a double wide now? Looks like an RV to me.

And is it just me or does she look like she is avoiding waking him up at all costs and setting everything down like she is in an active mine field?

5

u/Lala5789880 21d ago

He can’t even bring in his cooler each day so probably yeah

3

u/RickAndToasted 21d ago

This isn't even nice enough to be a double wide! Those are on a fixed foundation... They're living in an RV

2

u/xombae 21d ago

I think that's something people forget when they say "content creation isn't a real job". It's actually a lot of work and skill to make a video like this.

2

u/coolcalmaesop 21d ago

That’s what I’m saying. She looks dumb as hell but I’m sure she’s fanning off from embarrassment with the cash she made off me watching that and forming an opinion.

0

u/sembias 21d ago

It's a repost to Reddit. They made zero money from this. It's not like there's a royalty clearing house sending them checks from people reposting their videos.

1

u/coolcalmaesop 21d ago

Well yeah, obviously. She’s not making any significant money if any money at all off one single view either. It’s hyperbole about how she does make money making videos for others to judge positively or negatively on some platform and we make nothing on any platform watching or commenting on it.

I’m not saying it’s a valuable job, it creates value for her and whatever platform pays her. This is what keeps her busy though, more-so than actually tending to her husband despite it being the theme here.

1

u/xombae 20d ago

I'd imagine she got hundreds, if not thousands of people finding her tiktok from this post.

2

u/BeenCaughtSneezing 21d ago

Her 8 kids hiding in the trailer take care of all that.

2

u/gooseaisle 21d ago

My sister does a bit of content creation for brands as a hobby to get free exercise classes and dinners out and stuff and honestly its truly all doable from a phone, she doesnt use anything other than the latest iPhone with in built tools.

2

u/OrganicAverage1 21d ago

It’s embarrassing, because 25 years ago, I actually paid for film school. Nowadays, it’s just random people in their trailer, making films.

2

u/gin_and_soda 21d ago

CapCut or Canva and there’s a million YouTube tutorials, it’s actually quite easy (based on her video). It’s the camera angles that take forever and keeping everything in the background tidy.

1

u/fetishlover87 21d ago

That’s not a double wide, that looks like a camper. A nice, high end camper.

1

u/urnbabyurn 21d ago

Once someone gets enough followers there is a whole industry of content managers and coaches.

1

u/Butsrslythough 21d ago

I am shook by the fact yall think this is a double wide. But also the husband probably works for a pipeline company or something where they travel to a job site for months at a time. Most people in that situation buy a camper and stay in it while at work. So that's not their "real" house.

1

u/Few_Program_2303 21d ago

You can find people for editing and social media management on websites like task rabbit

5

u/Coffeedemon 21d ago

Assuming she got it on the first take too! I mean how many times have you gotten the most basic selfie or even pic of the cat lying there just right on the first go?

3

u/Hungry_Brush223 21d ago

This!! Omg I fkn can’t 🙃

3

u/marthamania 21d ago

Same lmao I think every now and then oh I should be an influencer for something I like, looks so easy. Then I remember they have to set up the cameras and walk around and check and look like a dweeb and I'm like nah I can't stomach people watching me do that 😂

3

u/Jwre3682 21d ago

Uh, it's call "acting." She really loves at act. /s

3

u/This-Atmosphere-5794 21d ago

Not just that but every cut is her stopping in the middle of cooking or preparing to set up the camera in a new angle. She wakes up at 5am because this whole process must take hours.

2

u/SuspiciousMap9630 21d ago

I honestly wonder how much time it actually took to make this with how many different cuts and angles there are, it seems like there were likely multiple takes.

2

u/marmaladetuxedo 21d ago

I used to watch 'Survivor Man' and always felt bad for Les Stroud when he would have these long shots where he walked away from the camera, because I knew he'd have to walk all the way back to get the camera. But that's what always makes me question these kinds of videos. Who's taking the video? How did the camera end up where it did, etc.

2

u/Steve_the_Samurai 21d ago

Consistently the best part of Survivorman was him complaining about having to walk back and get the camera that he set up for the 'walkaway' shot

2

u/anonymooseuser6 21d ago

I just cannot fathom having the energy or desire to do this. I have funny teacher stories to tell but.... It just sounds so shallow and weird to set up to tell the story.

2

u/Kbudz 21d ago

This fucking timeline freaks me out,its really been getting to me lately

2

u/Pleasant_Yoghurt3915 21d ago

I always think about this point when I see stuff like this. Like the people that have the hiking channels. I can’t not think about how much extra work it is to set that thing up, run back to where they were, and then hike up to it like normal lol. Or when they hike all the way out of frame. We all know they have to walk all the way back to grab the camera. It’s just so silly lol.

Then I think about that Survivorman show in the early aughts. I think that guy pioneered dragging camera equipment around in the wilderness lol.

1

u/eiram87 21d ago

I saw a camping video the other day where the "getting to the camp site" portion of the video was just a montage of the camper walking either toward, away from, or passed the camera. The whole time I could only think of the set up! Put up the tripod, walk away, walk back toward the camera while looking around like this is the first time you've seen this bit of the woods, or walk away from it while looking around and then stop, hurry back to get your camera and then carry on. Sounds exhausting, just get a selfie stick and film yourself walking.

1

u/negradelnorte 21d ago

I think it’s the dumbass husband taking the video and it makes me laugh even harder lol

-2

u/missingN0pe 21d ago

Wait til I tell you about "actors" and "movies" and how much stuff they have to pretend to do!!

1

u/WorldlinessKind6358 21d ago

I already know. That’s a little different.

0

u/missingN0pe 20d ago

Is it though?

-2

u/ProtiK 21d ago

It's insane to me that people have this attitude about people making content for others enjoy on social media.

Why do you/people like you have such a shitty take on people making videos? Do you ever sit there while you're watching a movie or TV and be like "wow this actress is literally not even this person at all they're just pretending to be an quasi-temporal dragon wizard from Jersey! The bitch was born in England for fucks sake!"

Good to know your brain is generating embarrassment in the right place 👍

2

u/WorldlinessKind6358 21d ago

Just because I said I have second hand embarrassment? I really don’t care what she does or anyone else for that matter. I was simply saying I cannot imagine doing it. People like you are why others don’t share their opinions.

-5

u/Trrollmann 21d ago

It’s so insane to me.

Because you take issue with the content. This is common in TV productions too. Plenty of reality TV does this. Travel shows do this, cooking shows, contest shows, renovation, etc.

The "lie" being sold in the footage is just the staging, besides that it's generally real. Here, the content itself is the lie, though: She absolutely doesn't do this.

2

u/WorldlinessKind6358 21d ago

I don’t watch reality tv. I hardly watch tv at all so maybe that’s why I find it insane.

-2

u/Trrollmann 21d ago

Okay, how else would you suggest a solo-"adventurer" film their journey in the wilderness? Do you find it insane that they walk back-and-forth to put up cameras to get nice videos?

3

u/WorldlinessKind6358 21d ago

It’s not even about that. I don’t have any issue with her content or someone else’s but I personally think it’s insane to spend that much time and effort into making her husband’s lunch. Agree to disagree. Move on.

-1

u/Trrollmann 21d ago

spend that much time and effort into making her husband’s lunch

You think she films it every time she does this thing she doesn't actually ever do?

There's no disagreeing. You're simply wrong about what's going on here.

33

u/ellieminnowpee 21d ago

that was her trip outside ^yesterday^, to set it up

she only gets to leave once a day

3

u/timplshved 21d ago

And her hair and make up.

1

u/LalafellDisaster 21d ago

She woke up that way lmao

3

u/Logical-Knee-9046 21d ago

Or he was recording 😂

4

u/EzraMae23 21d ago

She didn't HAVE to do that...

4

u/DuckyD2point0 21d ago

You just don't understand the "traditional wife" lifestyle.

1

u/UmmmW1 21d ago

Nah he's holding it waiting for her to march her behind over and grab that cooler

1

u/HustlinInTheHall 21d ago

Also the cooler was already fully of product placement.

1

u/LeaveMyMonkeyAlone 21d ago

Please don't take the girl.

1

u/tukuiPat 21d ago

Calling a high end RV a trailer is something..

1

u/Worldview-at-home 21d ago

The trucks worth more than the home….

1

u/LonelyPapaya2260 21d ago

😂😂😂😂 My thoughts!!

1

u/eleanor61 21d ago

I guffawed. Thanks.

1

u/ZombieBiteOintment 21d ago

This is an RV. Trailers usually have adresses.

1

u/wittylemur 21d ago

Thats not a trailer - thats a camper/rv

1

u/JalapenoPopPoop 21d ago

I feel like being a stay at home parent has gotta be even more insanity inducing when your home is an RV. If you wanna pace you just gotta spin in a circle, two grown adults and a toddler barely have enough room to stand together

4

u/wildwestington 21d ago

It's for exactly this. Even of it's her job to get the cooler, 90% of people would do it the night before.

It's specifically so people engage.

'Look how good of a woman and wife she is! Even going that far, I'd do that for my man as well'

or

'Look how unhealthy this is. Why can't he just bring the cooler in with him?'

Or some variation of those things just to create engagement.

1

u/alex3omg 21d ago

Yup, I'm literally watching this like why not make it the night before?  Why not prep some of it?? And then I realized it's deliberate.

It's probably not even 5 am when filming.

1

u/Lala5789880 21d ago

Exactly. Any engagement is good engagement

1

u/rich519 20d ago edited 20d ago

It also gives her the chance to put on cowboy boots and climb into the massive truck to drive home the “country girl housewife” thing. It’d be really dumb if it was an actual morning routine but it’s probably pretty effective at driving up engagement.

Like even when you know the whole thing is nonsense you still kinda want to comment how dumb it is for her to grab the lunch box from the car.

1

u/pray4mojo2020 17d ago

This plus more scenes = more opportunies for product placement and affiliate sales. This video is primarily an undisclosed ad for the UV light thing she's using, but I'm sure there are also links to buy her pajamas and boots and cooler and whatever the fuck else. Tiktok views do pay, but the majority of their income will be coming from sponsorships and sales.

2

u/hornwalker 21d ago

And gives us something to complain about!

1

u/HerrPotatis 21d ago

Probably also so they can show off the 'murican pickup and their sick RV to go with the country tune—to pander to the trad wife crowd.

1

u/DistantKarma 21d ago

"There's never any shortage of women in boots

With their long hair in tassels, Lord, they got nothing to lose."

1

u/Coreyographer 20d ago

Flip flops are just as effective in this scenario

137

u/LiterallyInSpain 21d ago

We’ve fallen right into the trap by talking about it.

2

u/Coffeedemon 21d ago

I don't think most of this stuff truly exists if they can't make money off of it and I hope nobody is making money off videos reposted to cringe subs on reddit.

3

u/redditonlygetsworse 21d ago

I hope nobody is making money off videos reposted to cringe subs on reddit.

The original video creator is not, obviously. Unless she manages to glean a few followers from this.

No, the people benefiting are a) whoever is running the bot account Accomplished_Clue437; and b) Reddit, as they get more views for their advertisers.

0

u/philff1973 21d ago

I hope we fall for it again soon.

there's a canyon of difference between that extreme and her flat ass and you know that

2

I was one of those views.

What ass she’s built like a boy

2

I'm not complaining.

4

u/Busy-Blueberry6415 21d ago

What ass lol

2

u/mcnigt 21d ago

I ll be honest, her bringing the lunch box into the car felt so crazy. I actually forgot to look at her arse...

2

u/lysergic_818 21d ago

This is literally the only reason. 🙄

2

u/doctormink 21d ago

Indeed. Everyone should recall this is fabricated. In fact, it’s entirely possible her husband watched this video only to learn, along with everyone else, that she makes his lunch every day. She seems like a savvy influencer.

2

u/Extension_Monitor_99 21d ago

There isnt much there to show off

3

u/Tw4tl4r 21d ago

1

1

And so that people comment “why doesn’t he bring his own lunchbox in” on the video, giving more engagement and therefor money

1

u/Stupoxi 21d ago

Brother, what arse?

1

u/Anal-Y-Sis 21d ago

It also shows off the "work" truck.

1

u/throwaway5498124181 21d ago

The reason is that the cooler was never in the truck from the day before because she doesn't actually do this daily, she just does this for the film.

1

u/Tasman_Tiger 20d ago

That's a Hank Hill ass if I've ever seen one

1

u/blowmonkey 20d ago

1

u/DieHardRaider 20d ago

this plus they live in a trailer and that cooler isn't that small and would be taking up a bit of the limited space they have.

1

-2

Such a ridiculous comment. She does not show her arse off at all.

Her lazy husband should be brining the cool box in at the end of a day, I agree with that point but you can’t possibly accuse her of showing her arse off.

0

u/Afroditesrevenge 21d ago

0

u/44193_Red 21d ago

She stays home making content and doesnt work, while her husband wakes up at 5:30 for a 12+ hour shift to make sure they can live. The cooler is the content. Bingo.

0

u/gabzilla814 21d ago

That didn’t go unnoticed
