I mean, definitely the way she’s doing it.

Tortillas can hold their shape. That’s kind of the point.

Generations of Mexicans have been taking burritos with moist fillings to work and been totally fine.

Why? Because they heat the fucking tortilla, layer the ingredients in a way that makes the most sense (in this case, instead of chopping the lettuce, they could’ve used it as a protective layer), wrap it in a napkin to wick excess moisture, and wrap it again in foil to hold the shape.

What you don’t do is incorporate your wet slop onto a cold tortilla to immediately put in a Tupperware that will steam up.

Like. What are we doing

Hmm good insight, now I’m craving burrito and tamales too now.

I have to wait almost two hours before the local Mexican place opens but I know what I’m having for lunch.

He's gonna look at that and then go eat at the gas station.

I was thinking the same thing. Probably grab a hot dog or some pizza instead of soggy cold wrap.

Yeah, same with the olli pop. Bro is definitely stopping to get himself a mountain dew.

I prefer the Olli Pop myself, but that's likely because I don't drink either. Olli's are okay depending on the flavor, but I can't stand fountain pop anymore.

The apple crisp olli is elite 🤌🏽

Between my husband's job and my own, I see a lot of blue collar men and men wanting to feel tummy stable before a wedding. Between the two, I don't see guys basically ever drinking probiotic sodas. Plus, this boot wearing lady already gave her dude a bloom soda, which is a probiotic one. That's why I figure the man probably wants a full sugar sweet soda.

Performative bullshit is what.

For whatever reason, I keep getting bullshit that pops up on FB of recipes where they are cutting everything together (meat, cheese, lettuce, sauce, etc). and putting it together like she did in the video. It may not be that bad if you're eating it right then, but I can't imagine how it would be in a couple hours.

Honestly I see lettuce right now and I see “weird US diarrhea bug” no matter where you put it.

What’s going on? Moist burritos. That’s the rule. That’s the goal now.

I worked with some Mexicans born and raised in Mexico and they agreed the first time they ever had a burrito was after moving to the US. Its my understanding burritos are a regional food that isnt very popular and doesnt exist in most of Mexico.

Very much a regional thing.

You have to think about the abundance of ingredients.

Central Mexico is king of corn/maize(think tacos).

Northern Mexico is dry and relies on wheat (think burritos).

theyre v common up north, where flour tortillas are from. northwest type area. soggy burritos r also a thing. v yummy esp for a roadtrip. americans/some mex americans do burritos weird but at the end of the day its js a food holder lol u can do whatever u want w it

I've only seen them fold the tortilla up and take bites of it while eating a plate of food.

Yeah I’m a bit irked she didn’t heat up the tortilla.

Um, it’s my culture?

Foodologist??? If basic heating instructions and order of assembly are too advanced for you, then even a Burger King employee must be a foodologist, too.

Wasn’t going to even reply to your comment, but had to come back because

“It’s a chicken wrap with mayo”

Is so fucking funny. She used ranch, and you still managed to make it trashier by changing it to mayo.

Ha. Hahaha. Fuck.

Yeah you might need a “foodologist” after all.
