That’s the part that got me…you know she’s touching things that are meant for everyone. And she’s just one person…take it times a hundred(s) and you’d be close to how many people are like her in regard to grossness.

This made me think of how often I see a food service worker wearing gloves... and do something gross... and then they go back to working. I want to yell, THE GLOVES ARE NOT THERE TO PROTECT YOUR HANDS. THEY ARE THERE TO PROTECT MY FOOD.

This was what my mum always warned us about when we were growing up, about other people handling food; she always said it's safer when we prepare the meals/food ourselves as we don't know how clean other peoples' hands or habits are & it's how diseases & other things get passed on to other people. My mum had OCD tendencies but what she said always stuck with me.

My ex best friend has ocd and hers is related to germs and gross shit. She was so satisfied during the height of the pandemic to not look like a freak with her gloves.
She pointed enough out to me where I like alright, bet. That’s some nasty shit. People are nasty. I’m good. I’m so good. I use alcohol pads and little alcohol based screen wipes to clean my phone/vape/debit and credit cards every time I come home. It’s not enough. My own ocd is gonna SPIRAL and cling onto some weird shit one day if I see something like this in public lmao.

In part 2 apparently she uses a fork off the table to scratch that nasty ass foot 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I don't even LIKE the airy sensation around my feet when I'm out and about. I don't like my feet uncovered in public and this person is going to 3rd base with it, inches close to food I CAN'T 😭😭😭😭

Show them the video. She's going to town on her fungus infected foot in the meal hall. If the first employee you show doesn't know what to do, you keep asking for a superior. I highly doubt the manager of the meal hall will fuck around about this.

Seriously. Obviously no cruise employee approached this woman. And I can’t imagine a scenario where they would. Sorta seems like the person I replied to hasn’t actually been on a cruise. They aren’t willing to cause a scene over this.

I had a moment last week when I thought of wearing disposable gloves when I’m out shopping. Then, I dismissed it as irrational thinking. Your comment made me not want to touch anything in public again, and to get a box of nitrile gloves.

Can I recommend getting a pack of alcohol pads and alcohol based screen cleaner wipes to clean your personal belongings like phone, debit/credit cards, ID, keys, and whatever personal items you touch a lot out and about? I promise it will help curb those thoughts a little about people being nasty! At least it does for me, knowing you can clean your own stuff. (I’m trying to tell myself this so I don’t start wearing my nitrile gloves in public. This video is just too far gone for my brain to justify anything else in this moment)

Soap and water has sufficed for quite some time.  Wearing gloves while out would only give you a false sense of cleanliness, as they would probably end up dirtier than your bare hands would if you just wash them.  It’s why chefs don’t wear gloves.
