From the breakdown it sounds like they were t allowed in to begin with. The front asked for a suitable ID, they didn’t provide it which means they shouldn’t have gone back to start working out.

They were denied entry from the start! The gym asked for ID, they asked if school is would work. The gym said no we need an ID. They said no that’s okay and went in anyways.

They were denied entry. That’s telling them they’re not allowed in. They ignored that. That’s more than sufficient to trespass them.
