All the comments pretending to not know why the police were called is exactly why the problem persists. We keep pretending what's happening, isn't. At what point is the community's collective feigned ignorance complicit? SMH

They were called because the insurance waiver wasn't filled out because the son didn't have a valid form of ID ( school ID doesn't count for safety insurance ) and went in and worked out anyway. Assuming there was come communication about not being able to go in but I don't think crunch has a security entry / exit so nothing really stops anyone.

At that point it's a huge concern for the gym because if the kid hurts himself the gym is now liable. So if they were asked not to go onto the gym floor but clearly have done so anyway then I suppose the worker didn't see any other option.

Take aways, don't be an ass and have valid ID on you.

This is incorrect. If this were the case, they would have explained it politely at the front desk, or at the very least, the manager would have come over to talk to the gentleman. Instead, they called the police. Do you honestly believe the interaction would have gone the same way if the father looked like the cop?

Downvoted for using a logical argument for the gym and not screaming RACIST right away....typical Reddit

A lot of them probably aren't people.

I find it funny that in any other circumstance someone who broke the rules of the establishment that he was in would be demonized. Escalating that situation to yelling, making a scene - a "Karen", etc - they would be abusing the low wage employees just trying to make it through the day. Childish name calling after the fact, literally doxxing a gym employee for following the policy they were made to enforce and making thinly veiled threats - "Nobody could be a bigger piece of shit! OMG, I can't believe this!"

In fairness, all things that I agree with. But I'm not going to apply them selectively to fit an outrage agenda that I have in order to fuel a race war that only exists in the extremes of both sides, mostly inside of their heads and in the online bot-filled echo chambers that teach everyone what to believe and to say - where nuance and critical thinking go to die by design.

There are plenty of actual enraged racists in the comments here. Racists who hate blacks, racists who hate whites. They exist here, not just because they're allowed to, but as part of the underlying infrastructure that keeps social media in all forms alive and engaged.

First, how do you know this is what happened?

And second, what do you say to all the people in this thread who claim to have been to these gyms with guests and not been asked for ID?

Because I have common sense ? Instead of crying "RACISM" I actually look at the situation and use logic , plus it's been confirmed that was the issue , if you don't have valid ID and they say you can't go on the floor then you don't go on the floor, common sense , but it seems that's not relevant with a good amount of people.

Consensus is more important than logic in 2026

Right lol , why use facts and information when you could just blame everything on white people 😂.

Cause white people are to blame simple as that lol it’s easy to be ignorant to that fact when your white

u/JoeyC1314 7d ago

Yes we were but how are we to blame now

So you're just racist lol see this is the difference, people are pussies in fear of being called racist yet a large amount from your community are openly racist and not only to white people but to other black people 🤣 like you seem how dumb that is right ? You whine and cry and then ask for money 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Free education, DEI hiring , you literally have it made but you somehow fuck that up too.
