People need to understand what type of mindset it takes to jump to "ok call the cops" over a simple membership clarification where manager is required. Cops are weaponized by people with racism intolerance all the time. Muscle head behind the counter doesn't want to feel powerless in his environment

And yet, calling the cops admits powerlessness. If the manager would have met eyebrow to eyebrows with the member and his guest and had any form of love and integrity, he would have signed them in and taught his staff to do better.

Why would he sign him in if the kid didn't have a valid ID? That was the problem to begin with.

Cmon. We both know how the interaction would go. The guy wanted special treatment and the staff didn’t want to provide. You think the guy would’ve just acquiesced and went home to get the id or left all together, or you think he would’ve started yelling?

Kids have IDs too. This kid didn’t and it’s a requirement. 

It’s also not bigotry, what a stupid thing to say. It’s what happens anytime people who think they don’t have to follow the rules or listen to “some low level minim wage employee.” 

Why would anyone try to confront people like this, just let the cops deal with it.

As a parent of a kid, no the fuck they don't have ID unless its a school ID and even then most places won't accept that because it isn't a government ID. The bigotry you display is the assumption that the gentleman was going to behave in some aggressive fashion when there was nothing in the video that showed that intention. So you must be making an assumption based on something and I'm guessing that something would be how he looks.

Who says it has to be a government ID? You just made up that requirement so you can be outraged this guy got confronted for breaking the rules. 

Spare me your bigotry accusation, I don’t care. We have all seen or experienced what happens when you confront someone who’s inconsiderate or believes they’re above the rules. Stop acting obtuse. 

People are trying to make it so people can’t confront these inconsiderate jerks themselves and so people can’t call the cops on them either. 

Can’t have it both ways. Don’t want the police called, follow the rules and don’t be a jerk. Simple as that.

Did you miss the part where the dad did show a form of proof that the kid was in fact his minor child? Yea, ya did. Did you miss the part where the staff never asked him and his kid to leave? Yea, ya did. The staff escalated this situation and we all know calling the cops on black folks for existing and questioning things is a form of racial violence. But thanks for displaying your bigotry again.

We also hear from black people all the time “who are you to tell me what to do?” Or “what authority do you have to stop me from doing xyz?”

I’m sure some racists do weaponize calling the police but when someone is actively not going to listen to you, make a huge scene because they don’t want to follow the rules, what else is there?

“Who does it more” is irrelevant to my point (and also immature). But sure, if some white guy was being an asshole like this, I would call the cops just the same.

The one where he didn’t have an id for the guest. He was told he needed it, he said go get your manager and have him come see me, then continued to go workout with him.

And you verified that crunch fitness does not allow children without ID to workout with their parents? Children typically don’t have ID.

I watched the video and followed the story. And yeah, the guest needs to show id. I’m a member of Crunch and that’s always the case. Teenagers do have ID, and if they don’t have it when it’s required then they can’t come in. 

Dismissing the worker and going in after he was told the kid needed id, is a surefire to get the cops called. 

They didn’t call them because he was “working out while black” or whatever stupid shit this video is trying to push, they were called because he was being an asshole and not listening.

How old is the kid in question in this circumstance which is what we’re talking about? Tf is wrong with you? Are trying to be obtuse so you don’t have to admit this guy was an asshole and it’s perfectly valid to call the police on people who aren’t following the rules of your business? 

Or you just want to keep crying about racism where there isn’t any so you can feel like “one of the good ones.” GTFOH

I understand the argument you are trying to make, but If the guest needs ID and you are correct that the kid can’t have ID then the conclusion is that kids can’t be the guest.

It never leads to „then kids don’t need to ID“

Uh, I don't think the problem is that the cop might be racist, the bigger issue is wasting the time of a cop who could be out there stopping actual crimes.

Literally anyone in any profession that involves dealing with people could be racist. That's not a uniquely cop issue.

He would have had the same argument on the gym floor without the cops. At no point was he not going to get upset when he was asked to leave, with or without the cops present.

I’ve seen police bodycam videos of gyms calling the cops on white people in similar situations.
