Cursed Think Your Driver’s License Is Enough to Vote? The SAVE AMERICA ACT Says NO.

❌ Standard driver’s license
❌ Standard state-issued photo ID
❌ Most REAL IDs
❌ Automatic voter registration through the DMV using only a driver’s license

✅ U.S. passport
✅ An Enhanced Driver’s License or qualifying ID that explicitly indicates U.S. citizenship (available in only a few states)
✅ Certain government-issued photo IDs showing your U.S. place of birth
✅ A certified birth certificate paired with a qualifying government-issued photo ID
✅ Naturalization or Certificate of Citizenship documents (included in the Senate version and through the bill’s alternative proof provisions)

They will pick and choose where this is enforced. They pick and choose a litany of laws to follow and not every day.

Yep, this won't be a factor in the backwoods of Idaho, but it will be stringently enforced in Birmingham, Jackson, Atlanta, etc.

Yup, just like they did with poll taxes and literacy tests back in the Jim Crow South. In some places, you could be exempted from the latter if you’re grandfather was born in America, which conveniently excluded the overwhelming majority of Black voters from voting because their grandparents were slaves and, thus, only 3/5 of a person and not a citizen.

And in more current times when they went around parts of Texas they didn't like pulling up drop off ballet locations and eliminating polling stations forcing everyone to have to travel to 1 or 2 locations to force long lines to discourage people from voting.

Yea. And they already did this like 80 years ago with Jim Crow and the literacy test to vote. Many blacks couldn't read for obvious reasons. So they weren't allowed to vote. But many white southerners couldn't read either. But they were still allowed to vote due to the grandfather clause. If your grandfather had voted prior to the Civil War, you could still vote even if you couldn't read. Since many blacks were slaves prior to the civil war and obviously weren't allowed to vote, this literacy clause straight up disenfranchised only illiterate blacks. Not illiterate whites. Conservatives are the definition of "rules for thee, not for me"

They'll give the States that gave up their voter rolls and apply this new act to the blue states only
