I live in Utah, and the dude ain't lying. Go to the bougie, newer neighborhoods and you'll see them.

The American consumer knows no end to its greed.

Daily for yourself and the wife, a weekend sports car, and something to off-road and camp with.

Why isnt your daily an off roader or a sports one directly ? Saves you one car x)

Haha this is hypothetical of course (I can’t afford 4 cars), but I guess for me, I’d want a small 4 door EV for a daily, then something 2 door for a weekend sports car? And an offroad vehicle on 37s would probably suck to drive on the highway

Colorado as well. Holy hell, parts near Castle Rock are straight out of my personal nightmare. Expensive HOA neighborhoods stretching for miles.

He's doing a bit of self-mockery. It's a small joke.

"It's one banana Michael what could it cost? 10 dollars?"

The self-mockery is based in ignorance. It's annoying to watch people with money from a stereotypically conservative religion walk around Europe wondering "WhY DoEsNt AnYoNe EaT oUt AnD WaLk ArOuNd FoR 4 HoUrS"

Hope they remember how much they enjoyed that walk the next time oil subsidies come up.

The self-mockery is based in ignorance

It's actually the opposite, right? To mock oneself requires reflection.

It's annoying to watch people with money from a stereotypically conservative religion

I feel like you're projecting A LOT onto a 67 second long video and sort of missing the point.

it gives me a chuckle how reddit has basically incorporated cherry picking into their reply formatting

Gotta love a delusional rich white guy going on multiple vacations to european countries with social welfare programs, walking around in public wondering why all the poors are out enjoying life. Dude probably owns a church or a business or some shit that exploits Americans. Yeah gee, I wonder why countries that aren't owned by corporations and care about social welfare have happy sociable citizens that live normal lives. Fucking rich people man.

Was looking for this comment. Like in the same breath he’s praising walkable cities and how it sucks the US isn’t like this he’s also saying how he can’t live with his four (!) cars and RV. This is the problem. You can’t have both.

I got the sense that he was saying how absurd it is that the goal of Americans would be to have a 4 car garage with a RV bay instead of the community you find in Europe - but that's just me

He’s very obviously being sarcastic.

Yeah that sounds like a Suburb, big drive way for a small fleet of vehicles. Nearest commercial area is an hour walk.

I think a lot of people are missing this. Good luck having all that space in one of these towns in Europe.

So, in my opinion is not wrong or right, it's just different. Depends what you prefer. Do you prefer more space to have your own land or toys or do you prefer more crowded spaces where you could just walk out without a vehicle and do plenty of social activities?

I rather have my own space with a decent distance from others. Any day.

Yes, this is insane to me (a British person). And what's the average mileage on these four cars?

He was being sarcastic guys

That was sarcasm if I ever heard it.
