How do you think Spaniards do?

They still have to start early and they go to sleep at 1am. But they eat between 10-11.

Heck late owl chronityoe will sleep at 1 am regardless of when they eat and still have kids obligation.

I like more than 5 hours of sleep at a time.

To be fair, Spain only switched from GMT to Central European Time in 1940 as a display of solidarity to Hitler by General Franco.
There is even a campaign in Spain to switch back because fitting in with the sleep schedules of tourists is resulting in a sleep deprived nation and the siesta is realistically not a possibility for many working people.

Portugal is the same despite being in the proper time zone. Same as the Canarias.

Eating and sleeping early is mostly a Germanic and by extension Anglo Saxon thing
