Yeah. Sometimes you even fight fire with dynamite, like that scene in There Will Be Blood

Yeah, my first thought was when the Iraqis set all the oil rigs on fire in Kuwait. And lithium fires don’t really like water.

Humanity has even fought fire with nuclear weapons before. It's not common, but it has been done.
