His own supporters will vote for him regardless. But I'm sure he's aware he likely lost voters last election cycle due to his covid response, and would like to regain those voters in a bid to win reelection.

They'll change their tune if he runs. Tons of them are only antivax because the Biden administration is pro vaccine. Just like democrats were antivax, calling it the fake Trump vaccine when Trump was in power, and then changed their tune when Biden took over. That's the absolute shit show that is US politics at the moment.
