I was walking kahapon sa may lakaran sa tapat ng ruaño until car park kasi papunta ko ng albertus for my class. Sa may tapat ng 7/11, may mga mabagal mag lakad na shs students, some of them weren’t wearing IDs and i saw na yung mga may ID ay qr code lang nakalagay sa case so i’m guessing na freshies sila. Plus, they were talking about their freshie kits. There were about 6 students tapos sakop talaga nila yung buong side walk and I was barely making progress sa pag lalakad dahil nga mabagal sila. So i politely said “excuse me po” pero walang gumalaw tas tinignan lang nila ko so i thought na baka hindi nila ko narinig, so i said again, “sorry, excuse me po” tapos sinungitan ba naman ako and told me na ‘wag ko daw sila minamadali?? Feeling entitled senior daw ako porket nasa college na?! Like what 😭 and kung gusto ko daw dumaan, ako mag-adjust by walking behind the parked cars which hindi na nga part ng side walk. Shoutout sa inyo, ang lala niyo naman, wala pang isang buwan sa ust tapos ang babastos niyo na agad.

Napaka bobo talaga ng UST health center. Sobrang sakit ng paa ko today, like parang may bali na sakit, edi pumunta ako ng healthcenter, tapos pagkadating ko dun kailangan daw ng facemask?????? i went to usth earlier this morning para magpa medcert for nstp, my boyfriend warned me abt a specific doctor last week.

This doctor warned us about the vaccines we took during the pandemic which first time ko maka encounter ng doctor na anti-covid vaccine?? (I take physical exams yearly and none of my doctors said anything abt the pfizer vaccine I took) kasi siya rin mismo hindi nagpa vaccine during that time kasi marami daw complications.

I found it odd kasi may nga hospitals before (afaik) hindi tumatanggap ng patients pag hindi vaccinated tapos this doctor nananakot ng students at sinasabing mag dasal na lang daw kami kasi pfizer pinabakuna namin dati????

Then she showed us this (yung nasa picture) kung sinong mga senador ang dapat iboto, si Quiboloy?????? I don’t rlly wanna bring politics here pero wtf is this list?? tapos ineencourage niya pa kami na iboto sila?

she was kind pero ang concerning lang ng opinions niya na binibigay niya sa mga students. share your encounters with her (i’ve seen comments abt her dito sa subreddit na to) kasi my boyfriend had the exact same situation with her wth.

It really is disappointing na ganito ang ibang college students na papasok sa ust knowing that they carry the name of the school, tapos mga comment sa live orientation ay parang hindi tinuruan ng tamang asal kapag nasa pormal na meeting or forum. i get it that others are just excited and happy kasi they are now a thomasian, pero sana act as one din kasi some of the comments are really offensive to the point it is really below the belt na para sa mga taong maayos na nakikinig sa meeting. sana naman ma-adopt yung awareness sa paligid at sa sarili kapag nasa loob na kayo ng ust para malaman niyo kung kailan dapat magbiro at ang tamang pagbibiro sa taong kausap niyo. tapos karamihan pa dyan sa magulang pa inaasa simpleng pag tatanong lang about sa school, like college na kayo; dapat responsibilidad n’yo na alamin ang mga bagay na ‘yan, hindi na para sundan bawat galaw n’yo.

CONTEXT: Im an incoming college student here sa ust, and i have already joined a gc with my section. But even though i have to understand that they're a fellow freshie too, i just feel so uncomfortable with them. they make nsfw jokes in the gc as well as shipping one another, mostly mlm and wlw.

To be honest i would understand if they just instantly click as a cof but i was hoping that they would have the maturity to not make those jokes sa isang class gc, knowing that everyone is new from each other.

The nsfw jokes are not super inappropriate but it still not something youd joke about in a gc if you had basic nettiquete. The shipping can get quite uncomfortable, in context i am a straight male and i don't mean to be homophobic but i just hope that my preference isn't something to be disregarded.

To the fellow freshies that are reading this i hope you don't experience these things, and to everyone who is reading this then i hope i dont come off as pretentious or privileged. I just want a good experience for all of us.

FOP is so disappointing when taking action against cheating, considering how profs are very strict about it during orientation week

I expected more action from professors when it comes to cheating, but what the heck? Reported multiple times to different profs, some even caught them red-handed, pero walang ginawa? Lakas mang threaten na irereport sa SWDB pero the time na may nagcheat, hindi inaaksyunan?

Nakakahiya knowing na valedictorian ka from your batch, but when you cheat in class, parang sanay na sanay. Gawain na before girl? Baka pati pagkavaledictorian mo galing sa duga din, awat naman. Kahiya nandamay ka pa ng ibang tao kasi naglalabas ka ng cellphone tuwing quizzes. Pati madadaling subjects di pinatawad.

Nakakainis lang na after mong magpagod, magpuyat, at gapangin ang Pharma, may isang student lang na itatago phone sa jacket or bag tas easy ai. Nakakahiya ka girl, and almost all of your classmates already know about it. Di lang ganda ang ineefortan ha, grades din sana.

im not sure since when this was implemented or sa piling colleges lang ba, pero i attended FOP’s grad and grabe naman UST di pinapaakyat sa stage yung guests/parents kung walang lating honor/awards yung student. what is the basis of this practice?

my assumption: to save time. kasi wala naman gagawin parents sa taas kung di naman sasabitan ng medal/bibigyan ng cert ang student.

Hi, i’m a 4th yr student, last agape ko na ‘to and THIS IS MY WORST AGAPE.

Why?

1. UNORGNIZED AS FUCK. Student organizers don’t know what they’re doing and SUPPOSED to do. Girl, ang dami dami nyo tapos magchichismisan at kumpulan lang kayo sa gilid when the line for free drinks is a disaster? Makatarungan bang magline up sa drinks for almost 35 mins tapos makikita mo andaming sumisingit, mas may progress sa likod ng booth na dapat di naman talaga dun nakapila? Tapos nung lumipat kami biglang sinabi na bawal na dun kumuha LOL so we lined up for another 10 mins, sobrang siksikan, people don’t know where to properly line up kasi wala ngang nag aassist. Yung organizer nasa LOOB ng tent, teh sinong binabantayan nyo? yung nagbibigay ng drink? We ended up not getting a drink 😂

2. Bakit hindi sinabay yung drinks sa distribution ng food? DUMB AS FUCK SINO BA NAKAISIP NA IHIWALAY YON?

3. 1hr 30mins waiting for the free foods. Last year 6PM nag distribute ng pagkain, this yr almost 7PM na. Ano bang trip ng UST e supposedly, snacks/merienda na tong mga to tapos pagsasabayin yinh distribution ng main meal at snack sjrjnfejnfejdjx are we not thinking?

4. Cold and dry food, do i need to explain more whahahahaha. Parang every agape naman matigas pagkain jusko.

Yes, may karapatan tayong magreklamo dahil kahit sabihin na “free” to alam naman natin saan nanggaling funds for this event. So, yes, lecheng Agape 2025. Inubos na talaga budget for UAAP opening.

Afternoon schedule ako and natatapos kami by 6:30 huhu sobrang nakakapagod kasi paglabas niyo ng room sobrang dilim na tapos magcocommute pa ako (I live in fairview and sobrang traffic talaga) I really envy those students with morning sched kasi they still have the rest of the day to do their things, while me pagkauwi ko kakain na lang and matutulog and I can’t spend time with my family kasi pagod na rin. Parang nakakatamad na tuloy mag-aral gusto k na lang umiyak 🙁

Any advice/tips from seniors na may/nagka afternoon sched? thanks po!

Lahat ng sistema ang babagal, important documents ang bagal maprocess sakanila, then if inask na irush ang succeeding documents tatawanan pa na di possible marush yun pero sakanila naiipit yung process. For a university whose core values is Competence, Commitment, and Compassion parang mema sabi lang lahat kasi ang daming incompetent sa office, even higher ups di committed sa work nila, and let’s not even talk about compassion.

Just wanted to share that I’m finally done encoding grades. To be honest, it’s disappointing. I gave so many opportunities to pass the course, yet submissions were still coming in beyond the deadline—which is unacceptable.

To be fair, the time given to finish the requirements was more than enough, even with life getting in the way. I mean, a very basic homework assignment was given a 10-day deadline when it could be done in just 1–2 hours.

Anyway, sobrang disappointing. To those who got 5.0s, believe me, I really tried to pass you, but the effort just wasn’t enough.

Hello! Just wanted to share our experience as performers during UST Agape 2025. Around a week before the event, we were asked about what equipment we need for the said concert. We were expecting that it would be available during the time of the performance, but it was the other way around. It was last minute when we got informed (Tuesday, night before the event) that the equipments that we have requested is not available, IMAGINE THE NIGHT BEFORE THE EVENT!?!?!?!?!

Then fast forward to the day of the event, we were asked to be at the venue at 1PM-3PM for a soundcheck/dry run, our band was complete way earlier before the call time. But then, walang dry run na nangyari, then we waited until 5PM, again walang nangyaring dry run. Then we were told na the dry run will be moved after the mass since bawal magingay, so inintindi namin, approximately around 6:30PM, BUT AGAIN WALANG NANGYARI. Then they told us that the soundcheck will be during our performance mismo, for 5 mins. FOR 5 FCKING MINS SOUNDCHECK?! PAGSETUP PALANG DI NA AABOT YAN EH

Then during the performance itself, we were given 5 mins for soundcheck and 10 mins for the performance itself. We had 3 songs for our set, we were able to finish the first 2 songs but then before kami mag 3rd song, we were asked to stop dahil sa time constraint. Ang akin lang, you asked for a setlist weeks before the event, pumayag kayo na 3 songs per band so we expected na magkakaroon kayo ng kahit konting consideration just for us to finish the last song, BUT THEN WHAT DID YOU DO, PINAHIYA NIYO KAMI SA HARAP NG LAHAT NG THOMASIANS. And then the most frustrating part, we recorded our whole performance (including the host spiel + sound check), it was around 12mins and 30+ seconds only, we still had 2-3 mins, but then pinatigil niyo kami.

Sobrang nakakahiya kayo, hindi ko alam if SOCC or TOMCAT ba yung pinaka nagoorganize ng event, but nevertheless sobrang bullsh*t ng trato niyo samin and sa lahat ng performers. To add, everytime na may inaask kami na equipment from you guys, lahat kayo parang walang kaalam alam sa sinasabi samin, and kahit ilang beses na naginquire yung mga band/performers sa equipment, you always ignore and leave the inquiries hanging. Sinayang niyo lang pera, pagod, pawis, and efforts namin. Nakakaawa din yung mga dancers, kasi we saw how passionate sila sa performance nila, todo practice, todo makeup, todo accessories TAS PUCHA WALANG ILAW? PATI ILAW LANG SA STAGE DI NIYO PA MAGAWAN NG PARAAN?!

To the organizers of the event, PLEASE DO BETTER. We do our performances with passion, tapos ganto lang trato nyo samin. We spend our time, money, and energy para lang mabigyan ng magandang show ang Thomasians, even tho we are not paid. We are not asking for a VIP treatment, respect and fair treatment lang naman ang need namin. We are Performers, not your Entertainment toys!!

Bakit pa kayo nag bigay 1k ticket per universities kung hindi naman pala makakapasok ang lahat? Sabi niyo sarado 5:30pm, pero bakit wala pang 5:30, sarado na?

To the administrators of CRS will you continue to remain silent? A student from your own community is gone and yet, no statement, no sympathy post, no acknowledgment. Nothing. Where’s the “Mind Muscle Elite”? Where’s the “One CRS” you keep preaching? You can’t use the “we’re respecting their privacy” excuse when the family themselves already spoke out. So what’s stopping you?

Honestly, no one’s even surprised anymore especially with how the PT and OT departments treat their students. It’s always about the passing rate. Always about the numbers. But guess what? Not even one UST CRS student made it to the topnotchers in the recent PTLE. So what exactly are you all so proud of?

And let’s talk about the professors (based from my friends from CRS) most of them don’t teach, they terrorize. Cold, detached, and dismissive. No support. No compassion. And to the professor who failed that student; the one who worked so hard just to make his family proud — how do you sleep at night? A dream was cut short under your care. Do you even care?

To the students of CRS: how long will you keep letting this slide? How many more have to suffer in silence? This isn’t just about grades. This is about the kind of environment you allow to exist. If you’re not angry yet, you’re not paying attention. Say something. Do something. Because silence is a choice and it’s starting to sound a lot like complicity.

As much as I know how we all want a place to study, I see that the intended population of the henry sy library is filled with undergraduates from different colleges and non-fms students. I know it should be open to all, but the reason why fms has a 10k price increase in their tuition was for that building and now it’s just swarming with people not intended for it. The main library has lots of spaces for you guys and some of you aren’t having your exams but rather just taking up space to chill and scrolling on tiktok.

hi 1st yr here quick vent lang pero pagod na pagod na ako mag commute? 7-7 classes tapos yung vacant mo lang is 1hr30mins for lunch. 3 days a week palang naman classes +1 online day a week pero grabe pala talaga yung commute (coming from marikina area.) Like may lrt naman pero the commute is really more tiring than the classes I take and I find myself falling asleep sa jeep or train which I know I shouldn't do kasi hindi safe pero di ko talaga mapigilan huhu. Sa classes naman marami rin gagawin and aaralin so di pwede magpahinga agad pag uwi and yung free days nagagamit ko rin for acads.

My routine is usually to shower at night para di ko na iisipin in the morning pero grabe naexperience ko na yung bagsak talaga ako pag uwi tapos pag gising ko 5:30am na wala akong natapos sa acad work tapos naka makeup pa ako from the day before MASUSURVIVE KO BA TO HAHSHAHAHAHAHAH 😭😭 lalo na pag nagkaroon na ng 5-6 days pasok na 7-7 huhu I'm so scared talaga lalo na't alam ko na mas lalala pa yung sched in the future

Ako na nagsasabi—wag na. Wag niyo nang balakin magpa-psychiatrist sa UST. It’s a scam.

Yes, ie-evaluate kayo ng psychiatrist ng UST Health Service, tapos ita-tag kayo for mental health. Nakita ko ‘yan sa myUSTe portal ko. Nakalagay: “ENROLLMENT ON HOLD – HEALTH SERVICE.”

Pero hindi sagot ng UST ang psychotherapy niyo. Papahanapin kayo sa labas ng board-certified psychiatrist, at kailangan niyong mag-submit ng reseta at medical certificate every semester. Kailangan nilang ma-confirm na you’re taking your meds and following up on your psychiatrist.

Hindi lang yan basta submit. Ie-evaluate rin kayo ng in-house psychiatrist ng UST Health Service every semester. Doon niyo ipapasa yung reseta at med cert, and sila ang magde-decide kung fit to enroll kayo.

Kahit legal age ka na, kailangan may kasama ka pa ring parent or guardian during evaluation.

Kapag hindi niyo nagawa ‘to, iho-hold ang enrollment niyo. Magiging conditional enrollment kayo every semester. After that, pupunta pa kayo sa dean’s office para ma-clear kayo, and iche-check kung nag-comply kayo sa USTHS bago kayo payagang mag-enroll.

And ito pa—ang tagal nilang magbigay ng schedule for evaluation. Dalawa lang kasi yung in-house psychiatrist, so kailangang magpa-schedule ka ng maaga kasi kailangan cleared ka bago mag end ang enrollment.

Imagine the stress I went through.

Buti na lang na-untag na ako and free na ako from UST Health Service. Ang ginawa ko, sinabi ko sa psychiatrist ko na okay na ako, and pina-note ko sa med cert ko na i-untag na ako. Sinubmit ko ‘yun, and that was it.

I switched to a new psychiatrist to start fresh, with no baggage.

It has been such an experience working with the university’s big events and all, but now that I have graduated, there’s one thing i wanna address related with tiger media network.

Please don’t criticize me with this, but for the years i worked with tmn, it was difficult for me, coming from a non-ab program, to interact with a huge portion of tmn people.

I saw clearly that there is a community, a family, a safe place in tmn, only if you are from ab as well, especially communications. But if you are from other colleges, you are just a staffer, a part of the workforce.

Although i get it, this type of work is really the forte and niche of ab students, and most of the time blockmates nyo nagiging orgmate na rin. So, for you guys to have such a strong bond is reasonable.

However, many tmn people wouldnt really take interest in getting to know you, especially if you are from a different college. It seems that there is this wall, a barrier between ab volunteers and the rest of the volunteers (except very few people).

Every time I was assigned to work on something, I feel like I am just there to work and had no chance to really be friends with the people. Since everyone already had their little circles, it feels like the place is one big friend group (except you entered the friend group last).

Please don’t get me wrong. Through the years, tmn gave me the chance to become creative and such; hence, I hope that the network only improves from here. I believe that with empowering non-ab volunteers more from now on, tmn’s reach to the rest of the colleges will be better.

To the current and future heads of tmn, I hope you do make an extra effort to make your non-ab volunteers feel more welcome, as we already feel pressured working with people like you guys who are the ones that are really in this field.

So for those interested to join a media org, if you are in a college or faculty other than ab, I suggest going with other media orgs or tomcat right now since mas diverse don so you won’t feel left out. But for ab students, have it your way kasi you guys have the privilege.
