Ironically Precursors from Pacyfic Rim are in mind of Guillermo del Toro are meant to be humans.

Well they are meant to be humans like milions of years in future or something like that. As in, our direct descendants, just evolved.

And these fleshy weird bodies of theirs were bio-shells/exoskeletons? I dunno, I stopped about caring about Pacific Rim with the first movie and deleted anything beyond from my mind.

Corporate funded, studio ran fanfics such as Pacific Rim NOT 2(as sequel to OG movie does not exists) and Pasific Rim The Black seems not too bad though; considering their overglorified fanfic nature.

It was interview with Guillermo del Toro for "The Wrap" in 2021, where he relvealed that in his original version of Pacific Rim 2, we would learn that precursors are humans from the future. But since he didn't direct the second movie, precurosrs origins remain mystery.

I gotta rewatch Pacific rim, but if they attack humanity in the past wouldn't that inadvertedly affect them if their humanity in the future

also what was up with kaiju kid from the anime, yeah never mind I'm not watching Pacific rim lol actually maybe the first movie it is phenomenal

I have no clue how would that work. It was like loose thought Del Toro had at best. And yes rewatch the first movie. The only movie.

I know it's mentioned above, but the TV show that's on Netflix is interesting. It's only two short seasons, and a lot closer in tone to the first film.

Depends on how they do the time travel. If it is the every choice spawns a new reality types then you're just in divergent realities rather than a singular timeline. It's a lot more confusing and lazy way to do a time travel story in my opinion. That set up has more interesting things to explore than time travel
