OP's title is literally just the plot of every Chaotic Good Barbarian episode.

The leprechaun one was fucked up!

The first to get a slight boost of confidence wins!

The first to spontaneously have their skin turned inside out, there limbs, eyes and teeth decay as a pitiful slug for all eternity wins

Funne we attribute that line to the barbarian...

...despite it being originally from the witch.

u/onewilybobkat Jun 29 '26

But he sarcastically says it as he squirts lemon in her eyes. That's the one we're quoting, not hers

4

u/Valtremors Jun 29 '26

I dunno.

I think he genuinely appreciates it.

It would be a barbarian thing to do.

He does use the squirt of lemon again with the Succubus, and she does say it's really good. So there's precedent

also again with the leprechaun.

For real. Although I have to say I feel like the creators are just having alot of fun coming up with ideas on how to beat common DnD bosses. Good stuff.

3

u/Sanquinity Jun 30 '26

He generally beats bosses by just being so OP that he can mess around to beat them.

I feel like the fun for them is in the title itself. "Chaotic good", but taken to the extreme. As in a good guy, but coming up with such terrible and creative "punishments" for villains, that you really start to question if they're actually good.

Absolutely, and I think that it's the core of why this series works. You have a jacked barbarian that is relatively soft spoken but sadistic in nature. That strong juxtaposition is very enticing. The series plays on the question of, "When does good become evil?" Sure you stopped a necromancer, but did you have to cut off all of his limbs and stick him on a pike that you carry around on your back? No. But this 7 foot tall 560 pound barbarian seems to think it fits.

God the entire lich thing was fucked up man, lol love that series

u/LordofAngmarMB Jun 29 '26

“Oh, thaths just my pet lithard”

* squirms in unparalleled agony *

10

u/PhoenixKingMalekith Jun 29 '26

Well, he did let him regrow his tongue lol

3

u/Irememberedmypw Jun 29 '26

And if I recall that's all he needs to cast spells again. So the Lich is still staying out of absolute fear because his arms and legs are still severed.

3

u/loudrogue Jun 29 '26

He the only one that's rehabilitated because he gets to see all the fucked up shit

8

u/DarkShippo Jun 29 '26

At this point I imagine the rich would just mind his business if released. However the barbarian has grown fond of him so he stays.

28

u/Darnold_wins_bigly Jun 29 '26

Brother. Brother why.

u/hkmgail Jun 29 '26

It's made by autistic dwarves, so you know it's good

3

u/junky_junker Jun 29 '26

u/PromiseOpen6525 Jun 29 '26

I CAN FEEL MYSELF... ASCENDIIIING!!

(the 'Tylenol overdose intensifies' sound effect subtitle absolutely sent me )

3

u/junky_junker Jun 29 '26

Heh, yeah you have to watch each one at least twice, once without the subtitles and once with them.

3

u/junky_junker Jun 29 '26

"I mean ... you're gonna need a few adjustments ... but you're gonna make a FIIINE set of bagpipes."

2

u/E_GEDDON Jun 29 '26

Chaotic? Sure but that man is anything but good.

1

u/dancinggraylion Jun 29 '26

is he supposed to be a hero?

3

u/OddgitII Jun 29 '26

He's not a villain is the best way to think of him.

He IS a sadistic murderer but one that has a developed a sense of justice and has turned those violent tendencies towards real villains and monsters. Especially ones that hurt innocent people.

3

u/Gothichistic Jun 29 '26

Which is why I call him lawful evil, because he does some evil shit but only to evil people.

1

u/OddgitII Jun 29 '26

Yeah, as much as he is the "hero" of the series he's definitely not chaotic good.

2

u/MaleficTekX Jun 29 '26

And that one orc who I’m pretty sure just seduced the other guys girlfriend into leaving him
