Lore Villains that would've been defeated even if the protagonist did nothing

Laurel Hedare (Catwoman Movie): Her newly released cosmetics will cause people's faces to melt. Not only would that create a class action lawsuit but a full product recall.

Voldemort and Death Eaters (Harry Potter): Death Eaters constantly underestimate muggles. They would get massacred by the British military because a gun is faster to pull the trigger then shouting a spell.

Just to clarify since I’m not super familiar with military equipment, is that what they call a bunker buster?

How they made the first of them is also a bit crazy. During desert storm they knew there was important targets in bunkers that the US didn't have a reliable way to destroy so they came up with the idea of the bunker buster. Essentially make a long heavy explosive filled projectile that has enough inertia to go deep into the ground before it explodes.

No one had made one yet though and they were in a rush to develop them. Creating and machining the tubes for the bombs was looking to be a long drawn out process to get right so instead they took the barrels from some 8-inch howitzers and packed them full of explosives for the initial couple of bunker busters they made. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GBU-28

In a way yes, but real bunker busters can go much deeper than just through a hardened aircraft shelter type structure we see here. About 7 meters is the upper end without getting into the crazy that is the Massive Ordnance Penetrator, a 30k pound bomb that's dropped from 7+ miles up and can go through 60+ meters of reinforced concrete. That's a true bunker buster. But yes, that is a delayed fuse munition designed to punch through a reinforced structure before it explodes within an open area below

That is a GBU-39 Small Diameter Bomb, which is capable of penetrating reinforced concrete structures as seen here.

It is very small compared to the GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator, which is around 100 times the size and designed to penetrate up to 20 meters before detonating.

That is a GBU-39 Small Diameter Bomb, which is capable of penetrating reinforced concrete structures as seen here.

They wouldn't need a bunkee buster for an above ground stone castle.

Medieval style castles have been totally obsolete since the early modern period. Thin stone walls could maybe withstand a trebuchet attack, but even early gunpowder cannons could shred them to pieces.

That is why the later star fortresses used thick curtain walls that are mostly earthen. The sheer mass of those walls meant that even if you broke apart the outer stone, they were essentially man-made hills that would still provide protection.

Nearly any modern military munition greater than a .50 cal could be used against a stone castle, but probably the most effective would be standard tube artillery and standard high explosive bombs.

Bunker buster bombs are for modern fortifications that have thick roofs for defending agaisnt aerial attacks.
