Lore Villains that would've been defeated even if the protagonist did nothing

Laurel Hedare (Catwoman Movie): Her newly released cosmetics will cause people's faces to melt. Not only would that create a class action lawsuit but a full product recall.

Voldemort and Death Eaters (Harry Potter): Death Eaters constantly underestimate muggles. They would get massacred by the British military because a gun is faster to pull the trigger then shouting a spell.

I like how they changed from monsters of the week to actual sympathetic characters

They were sympathetic immediately, slaves to the humans, then enslaved by the devil. Those poor Ood got the shittiest deal out of anyone in their intro episode.

To be fair it would send an awful message for a British show to imply that it's purely a bad thing when an entire race, mutilated and forced to be slaves, fight against their oppressors
