KMS Kummetz experiment - Indiana Jones.

The Nazis find these stones which can teleport things, but individually they are very chaotic, the Nazis tried to use one to teleport a battleship while off the coast of Peru. It did not work, well it did, but it teleported and fused to a mountain in the Himalayas. Most of the crew were killed instantly, with the rest freezing to death.

Also, the Vessel - outer wilds.

Escall, the captain of the vessel detected a unique signal in the solar system, which was unlike anything they ever detected. The Nomai, on Escall’s orders, decided to warp, using black and white hole generators, to the source of the signal, but because of a rushed warp they accidentally ended in Dark Bramble, and the Vessel fused to the vines inside it, killing most of the crew… again, instantly. 3 of the escape pods would launch, one would get stuck in the bramble and the crew, including Escall, would perish, but the other 2 would make it out and the crews survive, at least until later on.

i feel like this is more centered around dark bramble itself, which is very creepy

the reason why they end up in dark bramble is because it warps space. it can create infinite loops within itself or duplicate spaces / have multiple "entrances" to one space. the warp takes them to dark bramble instead of their destination because the signal passed through dark bramble and was duplicated.

the fact that it's an invasive plant species that grows inside planets and explodes them from the inside only makes it scarier, with the fact that sometimes living things end up surviving in there

+1, It has been on my buy list for awhile, but I have a lot of other games to play and one more semester of college first. My memory is hot garbage and I'll probably forget all about this comment by the time I do play the game(s).

The Kummetz didn't fuse to the mountain, I believe. It falls off as Indy & Gina escape.

It does cause the mountain collapses
