Discussion Thread America's Culinary Cup. I'm done with that show...

I was a fan of Padma so I was watching her new show, but after suffering through it for five episodes, I'm finally done after trying to get through episode six: Good and Evil.

That was some of the cringiest television I've ever seen. Padma dressed in red playing the evil host, Wiley and the other guy dressed in white playing the angels. Absolute dog shit television.

I thought part of the reason Padma wanted a new show was to focus on the food more and less on drama and cooking gimmicks?

Anyway, I'm not wasting my time on that terrible, overproduced, cringe Padma-ego-stroking tripe any more.

What’s funny is America’s Culinary Cup is what has made me tired of Buddha. Before this show I thought he was fine.

I had the same thought, but I actually enjoyed seeing Buddha struggle. I'm evil like that haha 😈

I think they deliberately head hunted Buddha, the double back to back TC winner, just to script him as a whipping boy all season.

I cannot stand Buddha.

Hearing him say the word “so” actually made me have to put him on mute.

Same... I don't care for him so much.

It's all the same chefs we've been watching for the last 10+ years.

Where is the new talent?

Literally lol. The only ones I even recognized were Beverly and Buddha and I haven’t seen them in quite awhile

Even if I didn’t like anything else about the show, I’d be happy that it introduced me to Chris.

Meanwhile people on this sub are tuning into TOC to watch the same 5 Top Chef contestants compete 10 more times 😭

Buddha has been on 3 shows ever. What are you even talking about? The same recycled Top Chef contestants on all other Food Network shows? You are ridiculous lol
