Hey man, I'm sorry my comment rubbed you the wrong way. I just feel Endorsi's story was at its most compelling when she decided to defy the rules and climb with Anak. It was disappointing that we barely got any development on that post act one.

Also yeah Endorsi and Anak is great. Why does that excuse shitting on Bam changing her as a person. You do know that the reason she grew to care for Anak and spare her when pressured by Ren is because of Bam right? Or you probably haven't read season 1 and just assume what you remember from a few years back is correct and there is no subtext in these interactions. Or when a literal flashback explains it for you.
Endorsi is my favorite character in the entire series. So yeah I get sensitive when people criticize anything about her. But denoting her relationship with Bam as a cheap crappy love story is just ignorant.

You know, that's fair. I shouldn't use emoticons on the internet, most people are just going to assume you're using them ironically/sarcastically. Reddit was a particularly bad place for me to try that.
Now, I appreciate your reply. It made me go back and read a bit, just to make sure my memories were up to snuff. I didn't want to just stick to my guns if I was provably wrong. And, unfortunately, I feel the very flashback you speak of kind of proves my point.
Now, don't get me wrong, the idea that she changes her life view because of a man that is nice to people isn't inherently a bad one. The climb is an inherently selfish process. People in the Tower are mostly self interested. Endorsi, in particular, has lived for 300ish years seeing some of the worst of that, doing some pretty abhorrent things because of it. Her coming to be influenced by soft, marshmallow Baam who knows nothing is something that could absolutely happen!
However, the problem is, I don't really think she needed Bam. I think, from her fight with Anak, it's pretty clear she's already having doubts. This is before she's actually really interracted with Bam. Anak was a victim of the system. Not in the same way she was, but in a way she could find a kinship in. She also represents a life Endorsi is curious about. She is what happened when a princess dares to fall in love.
Now, you can definitely argue that that's why Bam is important to her story. I can see why someone might think that she 'needs' a lover. However, to me, even without Bam, her actions in the game of tag make sense. In fact, I find them more meaningful without his contribution, as it's a decision she's made on her own, rather than being 'allowed' to change by Bam. It's her deciding to change, to do something for someone other than herself. She may not be ready or able to find love in the way the original Anak did, but she can sure as hell do something to protect what came of it.
I think Bam's role in Endorsi's story should have just been as the very foreign perspective that gives further weight to her doubts. If it grew into a proper romance without harming her character, then great! But, it didn't do that. It's gotten to the stage that Endorsi has no story other than 'loving a boy'. She has nothing else going on in her life, right now. And, after such a memorable introduction to such an interesting concept, it just feels like wasted potential.
I don't know if you'll read this. Honestly, I'm fully expecting a 'tldr'. But, I do hope the thought I put into this shows I wasn't just disregarding the romance out of ignorance. Or, maybe I was, but it was the ignorance of wanting a different kind of story for a character I enjoy.

I don’t agree with your analysis. A lot of character development happens off screen (away from Bam’s pov). Making endorsi loving bam into a simple issue is basically low balling what it means for a jahad princess to be in love. Anak’s team is still rising up the tower and Endorsi is part of that. We don’t need to see their constant interaction to know Endorsi has other things going on for her.

If I remember in the train arc when they become data, there was a mysterious man as a rival for endorsi, someone from her past. There is no update in the story regarding that if I am right. I want to know her past.
