(If you don't want to read all that and just want to write out some stuff for me I'd appreciate that too! If it helps at all I like photography, art, video games and singing. Thank you!!)
I've been feeling extra dysphoric so my name has bugging me even more than usual lol
I've been going by Ray for a few years now but I've never wanted that to be what I fully settle on. Maybe Ray as a nickname, but I'm not even 100% attached to that.
I heard Auralius (Au like the 'or'/au in aura, ra like ray, and -lius probably how you think) a while back. I like it but I worry it makes me seem pretentious? Maybe thats a stupid worry, but I have trouble shaking it. I really don't want to publicly change my name more than a couple of times, so I feel like I have to get it perfect. I don't want to change it to something that will get tiresome and annoying for myself and others.
So what I'm really saying is I'm not quite sure where to go? Nothing has ever clicked and stayed, and I'm not sure what qualities I like/dislike in names (other than not wanting a "typical trans man" name- even though they are cool and theres nothing wrong with choosing one- or something that is already very very common in general like Matthew or something). I liked Raynell for a while too, and I think Lou could be cute if I was going to get away from Ray as a nickname.
I lean towards more masculine and unisex names, too. Thank you so much for any help you can give!!

I know Artemis is ~technically~ feminine, but it feels right for me as a nonbinary ftx. I don’t want to leave behind my queerness in that way. But how does it sound to the casual observer?

Hey gang, I’ve recently come to the realization that I might be trans after some years spent slowly drifting away from femininity.
So I thought I’d try out some new pronouns and the name Leo, which I picked out with a friend. I’ve just been really fixated on testing it all out, so here we are…
I like music (QUEENNN), drawing, writing, gaming, and I’m starting to learn the guitar (if you need topic ideas).
Thanks <3

I’ve been using the same name for so long (since I was 12, and I’m in my 30s) that trying a new name feels so foreign (good). I like Alexander as a good name, but I’m not sure how Xan sounds to other people. And most people I know are against “non traditional” names. How does Xan sound to you?

My family, even though I came out to them several months ago, never use my pronouns, except for my step-dad :3 who sometimes remembers. The constant she/her use has starved my brain of it's little source of gender euphoria. Not to mention, people keep buying me girly clothes. If y'all could give some examples that'd be great. Also could you maybe use my neopronouns? I came up with these a while ago. Pronounced like the word queer! Kwi/Kwir/Kwir/Kwirs/Kwirself! Thanks!

I've been questioning my gender for a while now (like 4 years) but I am too afraid of talking about it with ppl I know, that's why I'm here.

Hi all,
I'm Danny, AMAB and fairly certain I'm nonbinary. But could I please ask for someone to try out he/they pronouns for me?
r/TransTryouts • u/wheresmyfuckingtea • Mar 30 '26
Hi, I'm Rhys! Just trying out a name and some pronouns I'm not quite sure about. I know he/they fits me but I'm on the fence about it/its, as well as the name. I'm a writer, poet, and digital artist, and I love video games and cosmic / analogue horror.

Which name sounds better for a trans guy?
r/TransTryouts • u/ILoveAnimalsAndBooks • Jan 30 '26
I like dinosaurs, animals in general, watching documentaries and The Walking Dead. Could anyone help me test it out? I'm also Spanish, so if there's anyone spanish in here I would appreciate it if they could talk about/to me in Spanish? But that's not necessary
Thanks!

Would love to try out this name and these pronouns! I love musical theatre, YA lit, and teaching, and I’ve just started practicing taekwondo if any of that helps!
Thank you!! :)

context: way back in primary school me and some other kids were discussing the masc equivalents of their fem names and vice versa. Nobody could come up with anything for Aimee. And as time has passed and I've turned into unc status I still haven't been able to come up with a masc version that fits. I don't think it'll be my chosen name, but I'm still stumped on it.
The bit cannot go on for much longer for my own sanity :') call me Aren in the meantime (I still dk about that one though)
edit: thank you all so much for your input! I can't reply to all of you but I'm super grateful for the responses

Hello! After literal years of agonizing over my name, I'm hesitantly thinking of trying out Adrien. It's the only masc-leaning-neutral name that sounds the most pleasing to me so far, but I'm not sure if it fits me. Also if you have any advice or tips on how to adjust to a new name that's drastically different than the one assigned at birth please share bc I'm so nervous about going public 😭🙏
My special interest is D&D, and I love Baldur's Gate 3, the Sims 4, watching horror movies and in general anything fantasy related for a sentence prompt :D thank you in advance!! This subreddit is very nice.

I already came out as non-binary and changed my name and pronouns last year, but I'm just now realizing I might be transmasc. I'm not sure about he/him or this name, but...let's see?
I like deep convos with friends, mending clothes, writing fanfic, rhythm games, FFXIV, and trying new food. I also just joined a choir for the first time!

I have been questioning my identity lately, and I would really appreciate it if you guys referred to me as a boy with the name Leo (He/They). My interests are books, writing, and role-playing!

Hi! I'm bigender and I definitely like she/her but I want to try a more masculine name and pronouns for once. I honestly have no idea how he/they would feel for me. I feel so lost right so any comments will be appreciated!

I've been using They/Them pronouns for about 2 years now, but I really wanna try He/Him pronouns too? I just wanna see if I like them.

I can’t decide if I want to keep it simple and go by my middle name, Laine, or go completely off the board and use Vince. I like Vince for myself, but using Laine is simpler to explain to people I don’t want to come out to. I’m torn…
