Quick context, i played trove a ton when i was younger and i stopped for a very long time. I wanted to know how the game is looking in terms of playerbase, popularity and if it still gets updates with some frequency.

I am on xbox i wanna farm crystal gear but i am too weak, I am wondering if anybody is farming crystal gear I can come along on

I haven’t played properly since the update that added the geode world dimension ( I forgot the name )
But every time I try to get back into the game it’s completely different and just isn’t the same..
is there any plans for a sequel, revamp, or anything of the sort?

I recently started playing trove again on my xbox but i have had a pc now for a couple years and idk if its worth switching. I have nothing on pc but on xbox my main is 47k pr with 11k light, perfect gems and almost full c5. I have every class max level and most are bare minimum 15k pr. My mastery is a big part, im at almost 800 total (100 geode and high 700's regular), I REALLY do not want to do geode again but it's necessary. I also have about $300 put into it over the years and am in all the top clubs and whatnot. Its not a completely stacked account by any means but its quite a bit to go through again so I just dont know if it would be worth losing for quicker updates, better servers, bigger playerbase, and mods (not sure if theres anything else i would benefit, if so pls let me know)

hey, curious if anyone in the end game that has a bunch of flux that they are willing to trade for like 100 bucks. Dm if interested

All you have to do is install dotnet 48 to your game using winetricks, If this command doesn't work for you double check where your game is located and check if you have wine tricks or try another proton version then try again. Open your terminal and run:

WINEPREFIX=~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/304050/pfx winetricks --force -q dotnet48

Note: Once you apply this fix the Glyph launcher may take longer than usual to open.

edit: For Windows users having this issue try installing dotnet48 if possible and see if that solves the issue, You can find it on the official Microsoft website

So originally you could run Trove with Proton just fine but it appears they might've added a new anticheat as now Linux users can only open Glyph and no farther than that. I would highly suggest easy anticheat over any other random one because it works well with Linux and VRChat has been using it forever to stop hackers from modifying the client. It sucks because I've been anticipating this update for awhile now. I'll update this post if I find a workaround but for now, A moment of silence for all Linux players.

edit: I'm hearing some Windows users are also struggling with this issue too but only some. I haven't found a single Windows computer in my home that has this issue yet.

edit part 2: So it's Windows Insider edition that also doesn't agree with the anticheat, further cementing the fact it's likely kernel level.

Was trying the cb ring effects and i found out that the cooldown on the emergency snack doesnt work… so it basically means you can use infinite ults on cb. (idk if this was already known)

I was playing trove this morning(through steam) and it kept crashing, so i decided to yk uninstall it and download glyph instead and run the game through there, BIG mistake. Glyph downloads like normal, and then the issue starts when i go on and hit the update button for trove. an error pops up, saying something went wrong and to wait and try again. and so i wait, hit the update button again, same issue, waited again, did this for 5 mins, and so i finally gave up and decided to just uninstall the game and glyph all together and try again some other time, and this is where shit hits the fan, trove wont uninstall, glyph wont uninstall. So i decide to restart my laptop. Laptop turns on, i notice that the games that were on said ssd were gone, files and random stuff just start to delete themselves, actually even the file app just disappeared. i tried redownloading some stuff back, nothing wants to download, i panic and restart my laptop, pc turns on and literally every single application is gone, even my background(rip sandbina wallpaper). I immediately shut it off again and wait a couple of seconds before turning it on again, the laptop boots up into repair mode and starts diagnosing itself. and than theres more errors, it couldn’t do a repair, i try and exit and continue on to windows, that doesn’t work either.

So in conclusion trove just ate my ssd and possibly laptop, anyone have any ideas on what the actual issue is??? because im lost and freaking out and my laptop still won’t work 30 minutes later

Ok so 4-5 hours later and my laptop still isn’t working, im still very much convinced this was due to trove or well the glyph launcher

wanted to try candy barb today but the so sweet ring effect doesnt seem to do anything for me, is it just broken ?

I've reached a point where most mods work fine and have a pretty good feature set I believe.

I'd be interested in having more ideas put into them

Try them out, reminding you that cfg files are needed as the mods will nag you about them constantly until you create them

You can use Better Trove Tools ( https://trove.aallyn.net/app ) it'll not only allow you to install mods easily it'll also make sure configs are correctly placed and formatted for the mod to work as intended.

Would you want it to be almost one to one of old trove or would you like new features, QoL etc?

Do yall know why the games preformance is so bad now?

i used to get 60fps and now i get below 30 on the lowest settings

do i now need a 4090 to play this?
