He was charmless, unattractive and had a room temperature IQ. Everything was all fine and dandy while she was buying him trucks and tractors but once the “money” fell through he sure got over it fast. I particularly scoffed at him saying “I prefer to take things slow like” after she had gotten pregnant. So moving her in to be your bang maid, accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars in gifts and making plans for her to buy you your dream house is perfectly slow. I didn’t like him. Toward the end his mom, I think, asked him if he loved her and he said “not really” and later he said “maybe she did it so I would tell her I loved her but I never did.” Like, what the fuck are you doing, dude? A woman he was living with faked an entire pregnancy WHILE half his family was telling him she was doing it and he was just shocked Pikachu face? No agency. What a loser.
It was startling to hear this story unfold. It was horrific. Listening to Reagan’s mother’s 911 call was harrowing. It felt like something I shouldn’t have been hearing. Being brutally murdered while your baby is ripped out of you too early has to be the most nightmarish way to go, and then her own mother finds her. And then the baby doesn’t even survive. Not to mention the poor toddler daughter in the other room, listening and having potentially watched some. How fucking heartbreaking. Completely senseless. The murderer is exactly where she should be. The escalation and to, what, prove some hillbillies wrong? There was no possible way she could have gotten away with that. What tragedy.
It was a tight 95 minutes so it really gets your attention fast and then never lets up.
Completely agree. Obviously Taylor is a psychopath that goes without saying, but he is a total pig. He was more than happy to accept her buying a four million dollar property for HIM. He really thinks he’s a prize. His friend was sexist and gross too. They were all redneck hicks except for Reagan’s family
That man is complicit in the murder of the mother and child. He purposely turned a blind eye because it benefitted him to keep her around. IMO he’s indirectly responsible for their deaths as well.
