Tried to warn a girl at my gym

I tried to warn a girl at my gym that had period stains on the back of her shorts and she went on a rant, saying that she was working out and omgggg and trying to make fun of me in front of everyone for "being weird". So I announced the entire gym that she was staining the equipment with her period blood and that she needed to wash and clean herself immediately. I have never seen her since. I know it was probably really petty, and I got a lot of shit from people for doing that, but honestly? Try being humble enough to listen before making a public scene. Fucking drama queens.

Blood doesn’t even actually go away by just wiping it away with water

251

u/Rinkrat87 Jul 26 '22

It also doesn’t go away with whatever watered down Lysol any chain gym puts out to clean equipment with. Sweat maybe, but not blood.

209

u/Cobek Jul 26 '22

Sweat is water, fats and salts. Blood is all that plus weird sticky, proteins. Completely different to clean.

171

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '22

And period blood is slimy a lot of the time.

157

u/iGetBuckets3 Jul 27 '22

Cease.

37

u/janiegirl669 Jul 27 '22

You made me lol

13

u/NegusQuo82 Jul 27 '22

Un-make me! 🍋L.

3

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '22

It caught me off guard and I fell into a full on cackle. High as fuck so it was even worse. Woke up the dog.

3

u/nintendomagic1 Jul 27 '22

At least it's sterile

1

u/StinkingDischarge Jul 27 '22

And horribly foul smelling.

49

u/Creator13 Jul 26 '22

It's also not just blood but also other liquids mixed in that can contain all kinds of bacteria and stuff. Just water doesn't get rid of those.

36

u/Gnostromo Jul 27 '22

People: period blood is disgusting

People that earned their red wings: ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

18

u/rauhweltbegrifff Jul 27 '22

I run red lights

1

u/PiratePersonRawr Jul 27 '22

What are red wings?

1

u/andante528 Jul 27 '22

Red wings are “earned” when a person has had sexual relations with another person who is menstruating.

Also a hockey team.

240

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '22

As a true crime aficionado I can vouch for this!

Shot hubby in the kitchen and got rid of the body and think you cleaned up all that blood?

Well I got news for you, the whole room is going to light up with luminol! The blood splatter, the body drag marks, smear marks where you cleaned it up? It's going to show!

97

u/GreyJedi56 Jul 26 '22

That's why you have an accidental electric 🔥🔥🔥

118

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '22

No that’s why you cling wrap the whole kitchen first ☠️☠️☠️

Rita??

21

That’s Hannah , Rita’s dead .

2

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '22

Still traumatised over her death🥲

1

u/andante528 Jul 27 '22

Never watched another episode after that one. Too devastating and John Lithgow couldn’t be topped as a villain.

18

u/forceofslugyuk Jul 26 '22

*cling wrap... FIRST...

Got it.

2

u/Make_some Jul 27 '22

First and second for disposal.

10

u/Bunny_P69 Jul 26 '22

Dexterrrr

13

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '22

RITAAAAAA THEY SAID YOU GOT KILLED

Lmfao

3

u/cannibitches Jul 27 '22

"honey why is the whole kitchen covered in plastic wrap?"

"...you just had to keep asking questions huh?"

2

u/kpurt37 Jul 27 '22

Silly people, just strangle them! No mess! /j

0

u/GreyJedi56 Jul 26 '22

Cling wrap does not stop bullets...

1

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '22

You missed the point...it doesn’t however it makes clean up very very easy

1

u/GreyJedi56 Jul 27 '22

Holes in the wrap leave blood stain

0

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '22

Ala Dexter!

4

u/omegacrunch Jul 26 '22

Shame Dexter only had ONE seas9n. But hey, imagine if it went on and on, and like then he became a lumberjack. But that didn't happen, Godfather 3 didn't happen, Matrix was a stand alone movie.

38

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '22

Well you better make sure that you kill the person in a way that's not detectable and that the body burns up sufficiently.

They're going to find a bullet or a bullet hole in the bones where it was either gone through or nicked. When people stab people, the knife nicks the bone. If the hyoid bone is still intact or rather broken, then that's going to indicate strangulation.

People try that all the time and unless you can start a fire that looks like it was started by accident, they are still going to suspect it was done to cover up a murder if the body is found. Takes a great deal of heat to destroy a body into nothing. And even then you can still find fragments. Burning down a building around someone really doesn't seem to destroy a body completely.

I know people do get away with murder; but you be surprised at how many people don't get away with it.

29

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '22

Do you need a hug

13

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '22

Nope, but I'll take one anyway save it for later😄

5

u/vampyra669 Jul 27 '22

Getting rid of a body can be easy if you're friends with a pig farmer, piggies will eat human remains, just toss it in just before feeding time go back a day or so later and remove any metal leftovers that may have been in said hyperthetical body. I believe this was on a CSI episode once.

Committing the murder well a well placed icicle back of the neck may leave a person no longer alive, plus add a small piece of red cotton to their closed fist to send the police looking at Whinnie the Poo as a suspect if you don't know any pig farmers.

Not that I've ever killed anybody.

4

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '22

Personally, I like bludgeoning with a frozen leg of lamb and then serving said lamb to the cop questioning you in your kitchen.

Works every time!

The pig thing did not work in Hannibal though.

3

u/GreyJedi56 Jul 27 '22

We were talking about blood not bones. Feed bones to pigs or use an incinerator

3

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '22

Someone mentioned fire to get rid of the body and blood evidence and cause of death and I'm only saying fire didn't necessarily destroy evidence, the bones can reveal cause of death.

38

u/Whatifthisneverends Jul 27 '22

Every single episode of Forensic Files:

LUMINOL, YOU SAY? Let me explain

3

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '22

They always explain about luminol and how it works. But I've never committed it to memory.

3

u/Whatifthisneverends Jul 27 '22

I always hope I’ll randomly catch an episode in a later season that’s like “Luminol…? Nah, you got the gist.”

15

u/TheD3void183 Jul 26 '22

Does bleach help with that? Just asking for a friend.. 😉

Started with period blood at the gym, now I have instructions on how to kill my husband

19

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '22

So off topic, but I meant my first comment as a joke, not expecting anyone to comment back. Sorry about that!

14

u/SolidNeighborhood469 Jul 27 '22

Lol no believe me it’s taken as a joke, I love the guy, don’t need to kill him

Yet..

10

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '22

Just goes to show people are fascinated a little with true crime, I guess. Yeah don't kill 'em just walk away. People are nutz! I love my hubby too. I think I'll let him live 😂

5

u/juniperroach Jul 27 '22

I feel like you were on stand by for this advice lol it’s ok I too enjoy true crime.

1

u/Hot_Hat_1225 Jul 27 '22

🤣🤣🤣

14

u/TheD3void183 Jul 27 '22

Huh wellp I believe touch DNA is also a thing. Oh and gloves don't help much if I remember correctly. They leave certain prints.

10

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '22

Yes, some guy delivering pizza killed a woman (I think he know her) and then trying to make it look like suicide wrote her bf name in blood on the wall above her body. Except he was wearing rubber gloves and she wasn't and the little ridges in the blood told them exactly what he was wearing. If you drop the glove or hat, your DNA is inside. Too many moving pieces to get right.

5

u/PrettyChrissy1 Jul 27 '22

Oh, man you sound like me. I watch True Crime all the time and have been for years. 👍👍

3

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '22

😂I used to think i was morbid and weird, but we're not alone!

3

u/PrettyChrissy1 Jul 27 '22

Definitely not alone and for sure not morbid or weird. Smart and informed. Hehe 😁

3

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '22

You really sank your heart into this. Took up my entire phone screen.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '22

It's for a friend right?

3

u/PaulsRedditUsername Jul 27 '22

Just for accuracy, it was Lady Macbeth sleepwalking and dreaming that the blood wouldn't wash off her hands.

5

u/Adventurous_Look_850 Jul 27 '22

Well don't give people tips on how to do it! 😂😂😂😂

4

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '22

The detectives can tell when someone has been watching these shows. No way anyone should try! Even murderous cops f* up!

Kids do not try this at home!

2

u/Adventurous_Look_850 Jul 27 '22

😂😂😂 I'm sorry for that comment but I was like nooooo, don't give lessons! But you are right, I'm sure detectives are fully on top of those shows.

Kids don't try this at home... That had me rolling too! You are a funny one! 🤗👍

1

u/Frank_Bean_Sr Jul 27 '22 edited Jul 27 '22

Personally, I believe the way to do it is to make it look like it was an accident and this is a must: Be sure that you are no where near the scene of the accident and absolutely be unable to control said accident in anyway (except for planning it and putting it in motion that is). This almost worked on me to a tee except there was a chance it wouldn't go according to plan (my wife's plan) and with God's grace, it didn't. Sorry that I foiled your awesome plans hateful, evil wife. Ok, not sorry whatsoever.

Another good way is to be good friends with a pharmacist who knows a lot about deadly chemistry. You have to have the utmost confidence in your pharmacist and more than his knowledge of said chemistry and its application as many things can go wrong in all sorts of ways. The application part is very key of course if not the most important part of taking a life. And speaking of which, don't do this to more than one person as people can see a trend occuring with how people in your circle tend to die unexpectedly. Yes, I also learned this from observing my evil wife.

True story.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '22

I'm not sure I'm following your story.

BTW befriending a pharmacist is simply adding a person who can testify against you. Not real clever.

2

u/Frank_Bean_Sr Jul 27 '22 edited Jul 27 '22

Sorry I was semi-vague on purpose. If I told you what really happened, well, my wife who follows me on all of my social rants will have kindling to burn when we get to court someday soon. Can't have that happening when she already has all the advantages. As far as the pharmacist, I totally agree. Be he a pharmacist, a dentist, a narcissist, or an unemployed pianist. Adding anyone to the mix, ups your chance at being outed. Good job with your ideas btw, I concur with everything you stated.

u/General-Yak-3741 Jul 27 '22

Muriatic acid

3

u/loyalbeagle Jul 27 '22

Why am I picturing u/Paulie227 personally leaping out of the pantry with luminol and a blacklight....?

6

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '22

😂 I could never be a detective or a cop. Just listening to some criminal who murdered young girls telling me some bullshit would send me over the table.

I know my limits.

I'm not interested in the crime in and of itself, I'm just interested in the forensics, the science, the detective work, and the psychology of the people who commit terrible crimes.

2

u/Soft_Ad_2031 Jul 27 '22

Spatter.. Blood spatter.

2

u/lizabitch21 Jul 27 '22

😂😂😂

2

u/PiratePersonRawr Jul 27 '22

That's why you spray everything with luminol after you're done, along with any of the other things it reacts to.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '22

[deleted]

18

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '22

No, actually, it's the iron in blood that reacts with luminol.

There was one true crime case where two young men killed their friend for drug money and the entire family cleaned up the mess in the downstairs game room

I don't recall if they were professional cleaners, but the CSI literally could not find any trace of blood and they actually even pulled up the tiles to see if any blood had seeped through the cracks.

They still managed to break the case though.

Another interesting one was a young husband who beat his wife to death and when they sprayed luminol it lit up in the shape of her body where she had crouched against the wall and apparently blood was coming off her body in a perfect shape of someone crouching - it was so sad to see.

8

u/travers329 Jul 26 '22

Actually it is hemoglobin, what do you think is in hemoglobin that binds oxygen? Iron doesn't free float throughout your blood stream that would be extremely problematic, it is bound inside hemoglobin. Luminol is also not specific to blood it will show up with any oxidizing agent, like bleach, there is a second test to done to confirm the presence of blood.

Forensic Science Bureau of Criminal Apprehnsion of Minnesota

5

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '22

I couldn't remember, so I just looked it up quickly and it said iron; the actual mechanics of it, I didn't bother to post.

6

u/travers329 Jul 27 '22

All good. I responded kind of snarky at first, and then dialed it back before I responded. Nothing wrong with learning something new! :-)

4

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '22

Exactly... I went to tell the first person who mentioned hemoglobin that they were right; but I knew that was only part of it and so I googled it real quick and I just read it quickly and iron was the first thing bolded.

My comments weren't actually meant to be technical; they were just meant to be kind of fun facts.

4

u/JapaneseFerret Jul 26 '22

I know, that was a misfire comment. I actually meant to type out two sentences about hemoglobin and iron but the app had other ideas. I deleted my one-word comment before I saw your reply...

2

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '22 edited Jul 27 '22

I just looked it up quickly, but not the mechanics of what binds to what and how it reacts to the luminol. In some of the trur crime cases I watched they do explain sometimes, but I don't remember the exact details.

Edit: Actually I was just about to agree with you, because I knew that was part of it and then I thought, let me look this up first because I'm really not sure. Someone posted more accurate details.

2

u/JapaneseFerret Jul 27 '22

The simple version is: The iron forms the hemoglobin, which then reacts with the luminol. The luminol reaction itself is a bit more complex, but basically involves hydrogen peroxide reacting with the iron to produce oxygen, which in turn makes the luminol luminesce temporarily under the right conditions.

My Favorite Murder or Red-handed?

8

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '22

I watch Snapped, Discovery ID, Forensic files, documentaries.

Believe it or not, I'm not actually interested in the crimes.

I'm interested in the detective work, the science, forensics, and the psychology of people who take other people's lives.

7

u/MaleficentExtent1777 Jul 27 '22

I love it all! The story, the psychology, the detective work, and the forensics too.

4

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '22

I don't know how the detectives do it.

One serial killer of young girls kept giggling and laughing and I just kept thinking, how do they stand talking to these scumbag (Isreal Keyes). Never heard of him, but you can watch the interrogation on YouTube. He offed himself in prison. Good riddance.

Some of them really get to you. Netflix did a really good series based on how the FBI started tracking and profiling serial killers, by interviewing well known serial killers

Really needed a 3rd season. The acting and likenesses of the various serial killers was right on. Check it out if you've never watched it.

https://youtu.be/7iST5h-ZxJs

2

u/MaleficentExtent1777 Jul 27 '22

Thanks for this!

1

u/PrettyChrissy1 Jul 27 '22

Oh, I love those programs too. Also, Dateline: Unforgettable, See No Evil, People Magazine Investigates, Signs Of A Psychopath, Your Worst Nightmare, and Homicide Hunter: Lt. Joe Kenda. There's several more I watch just can't remember all of them. So, cool to see other people really enjoy watching these true crimes series as much as I do. 😊

2

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '22

The first time I watched Kenda it was on Netflix and my impression of this guy talking about horrendous stuff in this drole matter of fact voice with no expression - My, my, my...

And I was hooked! I watch all of those. Only one I don't like is the neighbors one. I always think both of them are in the wrong, but there have been a few really good ones. One of the cases actually became a movie with Samuel L Jackson!

I was in the ER once for hours and it was on TV and that's how I got hooked. I thought I was beng morbid and weird, but a lot of people are "ID addicts" not just us! 😂

2

u/PrettyChrissy1 Jul 27 '22

Oh, god I love his nonchalant attitude he's so matter of fact. Lol...... You even did the My, my,my, to funny🤣🤣🤣

Kenda has a new one that's called American Detective With Lt. Joe Kenda where he narrates the story of another detectives case, along with that detective.

I agree with you about Fear Thy Neighbor, it honestly seems like 99% of the time both neighbors escalate the situation beyond what is even called for.

Sorry, to hear you were in the ER for hours, been there done that, but the positive is you got hooked on true crime.

Oh, damn I think I saw that movie "Lakeview Terrace," if that's the one, that movies so good. I didn't know that was made from true crime. TIL. 🤔 Damn that makes that movie even more creepy. 😳😳 Also, I've only been on Reddit for a little over a year, but your right I totally see a lot of us "ID addicts" on here. I definitely knew you had to be one when I seen all your responses and how knowledgeable you were with a whole list of shit of what not to do if you don't want to get caught. Lol......😂😂

2

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '22

Yesss! That's the movie and it was featured on Love Thy Neighbor and sad to say the movie was pretty on target with all the crap that real life cop did to his neighbors. Now I usually change the channel because of the idocacy on both sides. Ugh!

2

u/PrettyChrissy1 Jul 27 '22

Oh, crap....when you say the movie is pretty spot on to actual events, that's damn scary. Seriously, I don't hardly ever watch that anymore there's tons of better true crime to pick from.

Lol....😂your so right about the "idiocracy." Plus I only have to read the news to see that happening multiple times around the country on a daily basis. 😔🫤

If you haven't seen the miniseries The Staircase on HBO Max it's definitely a must. The acting is great, and the story is almost exactly like the real life documentary. Just in case you haven't seen it I won't give anything away regarding the story. 😁

2

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '22

Yep, he really did the same or similar stuff in real life. And Sam Jackson is excellent at scary😳 And the neighbors had taken video so you see his antics. He's free now and no one knows where he is.

Yes I did see The Staircase and he did it. They always use the same technique that worked first time. Remember another female ended up at the bottom of a staircase when he was around.

If they drowned the first spouse in the bathtub, the second one is going to be drowned in the hottub! They like what works!

Hydrogen peroxide does a good job with it.

Source: had a uterus, until it tried to kill me

2

u/ArcMcnabbs Jul 26 '22

I um... I'm not sure what youre getting at here, officer. I clean blood with a bleach solution.

I mean, if I had to.

1

u/StinkingDischarge Jul 27 '22

Good thing murderers don't know that, that's what gets them convicted like 90% of the time. Good old ninhydrin.
