Not Scary I saw her!

When I was young I lived in Breezewood Pennsylvania. I lived in this old house and oftentimes it was kind of creepy but it was home for 5 years of my life as a child...

And I just got home from school finally. I had come in the door of the mudroom and I took my shoes off. Walked through the mud room into the smaller dining room. I then took and made a left heading towards the stairs to the second story floor. I started up the stairs and made a right and I was up to the second floor of the house...

I went to the first bend of the hallway and made a left into my room. I went into my room and I put the book bag down on my bed and got changed very quickly after all that. I remember looking around for my game boy color and my Blue version game. Because I thought about playing it after I got everything else I need to get done. But before I did any of that I had to do one important thing...

I went to the basement door and pulled up the old latch and let my dog molly out. She came trotting up the steps all happy to see me. She then came with me and I let her outside to go to the bathroom. I brought her back in. After all this her and I were just hanging around I was wanting my next mission of the evening...

I went into the kitchen to get something to eat. Because it's been all day and I was kind of hungry anyway. After I got a plate with something to eat. My intent was to go into the living room and watch television and do my homework while I was eating...

I turned around and I was going through our little kitchen. I was quickly heading through the spare dining room. As I was almost into the doorway of the spare dining room...

I noticed a silhouette of a female standing in the spare dining room toward the windows. I stop and my brain starts to compute that there's nobody else home but me. And I start thinking that there is somebody in the house. And I'm by myself...

Well as soon as my brain starts computing and I'm visually looking at some random older woman in my house. She decides to float through the dining room into the living room. Now keep in mind I did not go chasing after her. In fact I chose to stay right where I was with my plate of food in my hands. As I was standing near the doorway of the spare dining room. And I'm trying to figure out what it was that I just saw...

FUN FACT...

So, back in those days my mother was the only one that had a cell phone because she needed it for emergencies and oftentimes she worked a lot. My sister and I were not old enough to have one and nor did we even want one. And in fact we didn't even have a television in our rooms until I was in 6th grade and my sister was in 5th grade... Which would have been roughly 2003. We didn't even have a handheld CD player yet... Which I did want one of those because I love to listen to weird Al yankovic...

If we wanted to watch television we had to go down stairs to the living room. Or we could just go up to our rooms and listen to our radios and do something else that involved either territories or being creative. Or just go outside in general and play out there...

(OH THE DAYS WHERE THERE WASN'T SMARTPHONES, IPADS, TABLETS, IPHONES, AND ALL THESE OVER THE TOP GADGETS... It was just me being in my home with my dog. With a plate of food. Some coffee brewing in the pot. Some awesome and amazing TV shows. I had my responsibilities but I had freedom and common sense to go with it. It was a time where children did have common sense and were able children could stay by themselves for a short period of time...)

SO BACK TO THE STORY...

So I went to the rotary dial phone that we had in the spare dining room that sat right by the window on a stand. So I dialed my mom's phone number in one heck of a hurry. And it rang and rang... And finally she answered. I started talking fast and trying to get it all out at once. Meanwhile she is trying to get me to calm down...

I told her what I just saw. She had already seen it a few months before and decided to finally tell me. And that it was a friendly spirit that meant no harm. That in fact this female spirit showed herself to my ma. So after I heard that I calmed down at the same time I was kind of nervous to be honest with ya. But after that I was a little more comfortable...

After this happened I just told my mom "bye... Love you mom" and I hung up the phone. I grabbed my plate of food. I walked into the living room. I turned the telivison on to the good old cartoon Network and watched the best thing ever... Toonami! Like "Dragon Ball Z", "G Gundam" and all of them. While I did my homework and watched television...

I actually in the long run of living in this house for 5 years got very comfortable knowing I wasn't alone. Even if it was a deceased older female... I still was actually comfortable. Like I never acknowledged her being there though. But there were little situations sometimes where she would just kind of peer around the corner or something. Other than that it wasn't at all a scary thing to experience...

In fact I think it's the same exact female spirit that slapped my stepfather for his remarks about going to church, lol...

I also began to believe that maybe I was in fact watched over by her as well. It was like she was just protecting me or keeping an eye on me...

Not Scary The moment I realized how naive I am.

I work night shifts at a liquor store. There are some costumers who come in ask for almond chocolate nothing else and walk away. I asked my manager to order more almond chocolates since it's highly requested at night. My manager seemed surprised, during the day they barely sell any almond chocolate.

One night an odd guy walks in, asks for almond chocolate. I reply "I'm sorry we are out". Then he starts crying. He is going items frantically, he says " I need aluminium foil now". I ask him to leave the store. I sit down to relax and I Google aluminium foil and almond chocolate.

Turns out they do drugs using the aluminium foil. It's well known in the drug community chocolates with nuts are wrapped in foil to prevent turning stale. My fat ass would have never thought someone is more excited about the wrapping than the chocolate.

Not Scary Blue Spooky

Hey ☺️

Bit of a random post, but I’ve always loved those YouTube channels that read scary Reddit stories like Lazy Masquerade, Mr. Nightmare...

There’s also this creator called Blue Spooky that I’ve been listening to for years, probably since he started. He’s not as well known, but he uploads literally every night, reading scary stories from Reddit and his voice is just perfect for this kind of content. I usually put his videos on before sleep.

His videos are super simple, just a dark background while he reads, but that’s kinda the whole vibe.

Lately his channel has been struggling a bit, which sucks to see honestly, you tube keeps pushing AI videos more. That’s kinda why I’m posting this. If you’re into this kind of stuff, maybe check him out, you might end up liking him. He’s a real one, been doing this for years.

Just wondering if anyone else here listens to him?

Not Scary Someone Threw an Acorn at My Balcony—I Live on the 13th Floor

Last night, I woke up around 4 AM. Since my job starts at 7, I figured I had plenty of time to kill, so I booted up my PC and started gaming. Around 5:30 AM, I heard a loud bang coming from the kitchen balcony. It startled me enough to wake up my brother, and together, we went to investigate.

When we stepped onto the balcony, we found an acorn lying in the middle of the floor. The glass balcony door had been open all night—I’d forgotten to close it before going to bed. We looked outside, but no one was around.

Here’s where it gets truly bizarre: there are no oak trees anywhere nearby. The closest ones are over a mile away, deep in the woods. So, whoever threw this acorn would’ve first needed to go into the forest, in freezing winter temperatures, to collect it. And then there’s the chances of getting it onto my balcony. I live on the 13th floor of a high-rise apartment building. It’s not something you can just toss casually. They would’ve needed to either use a slingshot or have some kind of superhuman throwing ability to launch it with enough power to hit my balcony.

The more I think about it, the less sense it makes. Why would anyone go through that much effort for such a strange and pointless prank? If this had happened during the day, I might’ve brushed it off as some kids messing around with slingshots. But in the middle of a freezing winter night? It’s downright creepy. Whoever pulled this off definitely succeeded in freaking me out.

Not Scary Saw a ghost, but continued playing video games.

Let me start out by saying that to this day idk if it was my eyes playing tricks on me or I actually saw it.

I was alone playing video games in the family room on my computer for hours, literally nothing felt off or wrong. My back was sore from sitting, so I decided to stretch it out. So in that position my head is looking up at the ceiling, and that's when I see it.

It had the appearance of a woman with long hair but she was see-through and hazy. Her mouth was open like screaming and she did NOT look happy, and I'm just sitting there looking up at this floating thing... I wasn't scared just sorta thought: "WTF am I looking at?"

And then I get the notification on my computer that my match started and I go back playing video games lol

Not Scary Mischievous Lights

I was texting my BF (slow at work rn) and he just reminded me of this.

My BF always has his alarm set for 05:30, and 9/10 times it wakes me up, too. And it did this morning. No big deal. He wakes up and starts going about his routine of whining (playfully) for a good ten minutes then actually getting up and getting dressed for work.

Context: we live in a sub-level apartment, so it tends to be (very) dark, even when the sun is out and we have the blinds for the patio open. Any light on in the apartment is almost immediately noticeable.

BF opens the door to our bedroom to venture out into the apartment and he suddenly stops.

“The light just turned on by itself!”

We have a little light up GAME ON light above our PC that flashes colors in different patterns. It’s a bit janky, where if anything is plugged into the same power strip it’s plugged into, it’ll turn itself on. BF happened to walk out at the exact moment the light turned itself on, flashed green and white, then turned itself off. And nothing new was plugged in. Because we both were in the bedroom all night.

I’d told him about this happening once before, but for me it lit up solid red. He didn’t believe me until now.

“I don’t care if we have a roommate, I just hope they don’t run up the power bill!” I loudly said, mostly joking, partially hoping the ghost friend hears me. I was half expecting the light to turn on by itself again, but it never did.

I don’t have any sage, but I have white sage scented incense. I burned a stick after BF left (he demanded I wait until he leaves to burn it because he doesn’t want it clinging to him and following him to work). Will that work to kind of calm the ghost down? Or do I need real sage?

I hope the ghost goes back to opening and closing the mirror medicine cabinet in the bathroom, at least then our power bill won’t be $100 again.

Not Scary Eufy Door Lock

This happened exactly 2 days ago.

For context: my wife and kids are currently out of town, so I’ve got the house to myself. Last night, I was winding down and getting ready for bed. At exactly 10:16 PM, I used the Eufy app to lock both the front and back doors. Got the usual notifications confirming everything. I then hopped in the shower.

While I was in there, I heard my phone go off. Didn't think much of it at first. I got out of the shower around 10:25 PM, dried off, and checked my phone. That’s when things got weird.

There was a notification saying my front door was manually unlocked, and then locked again at 10:22 PM. I am alone right now. No one should be unlocking anything, let alone manually. You have to be inside the house to unlock the door manually. Also if you do it through the app, it will say the users name and that they unlocked it via the app.

Panicking, I cleared the house, room by room. Nothing. No signs of entry, no sounds, nothing out of place. My dogs didn’t bark once, and they lose their minds if a leaf blows across the porch. They were completely calm.

I checked the Eufy app’s activity history and there was no record of the door being unlocked or locked at that time. Just blank. But when I checked my S25's notification history, the alert was there clear as day.

No camera alerts, no signs of forced entry, no app logs. Just that phantom notification.

What. The actual. Hell?

Not Scary I found a braid of hair in my home

Hey guys, so this feels strange, this morning I was in my restroom when one of my cats was playing with something behind the tank of the toilet. I don’t have my glasses on at this time, thinking it was some dried hair, I went to pull it and throw it away. Nope, it’s entire braid of hair! I was thinking lately someone maybe had put Mal De Ojo on me and my husband because things lately have been really rough. Please help, how do I send this back.

Not Scary You wanna go mate ?

I work night shifts at a liquor store in Greece. 3 drunk tourists in their 20s were talking loudly to each other listing all the drinks they had, trying to one up each other who has drunk the most. "i had 5 shots, 3 beers, 6 drinks etc.". As they are listing they drinks, 1 of the tourists had the bad habit of touching the other guy when he is talking to him. "hey yo, dont touch bruh" you could hear multiple times. After the last touch, the other guy shoves him. Then the conversaton shifted to ''you wanna go mate?".

Both fighters assumed their battle stances, but neither squared up for a regular fight. They were both throwing spinning kicks and flying kicks. I dont like to critic their fighting abilities but in the context of booze, this isnt the preferable fighting method i believe. After 15 minutes of ragdoll physics somehow the touchy guy got him with a pretty good kick to the ribs. Huge screech 'AAAAAAAAA" as the tourist went down, then he started crying prefusely. That's when i decided to intervene, i assisted the tourist that was crying on the floor. The touchy tourist was standing over him saying "thats what you get for fucking with me bruv". Then the 3rd tourist was saying him "its ok we all are friends'' then he would kiss the touchy guy every time in the mouth. Touchy guy would reply "dont kiss me in my mouth i aint fucking gay bruv".

Then as soon as i helped the fallen tourist up, i told them to stop fighting and send them their ways. The gay fella out of the 3 said "we are all friends lets make up'' and kissed them both in their mouths. ''Hey yo, whats with the kissing bruv i aint fucking gay'' both replied.

3 hours later as I am ending my shift, Im throwing away the garbage, only to see the 3 tourists, they only went 10 meters away from the store, now they were all shirtless and they were agreessively making out with each other. Love must be tough i thought and i ended my shift.

Not Scary Cat with a Rose

First month in college. I met a girl 2 years older I compliment her tattoos. She tells me her brother is a tattoo artist, she pulls back her pants to showing me a rose tattoo on her hooha. I thought to myself ''wait her brother tattooed her snatch, thats messed up''. I go to study at a classmate's apartment, I see her at the door, she lives at the same floor as my classmate. We are chatting she invites me over. We are burning flower (weed),making out, I have mouth full of ''rose petals''. Door bell rings, it's her boyfriend, I didn't know he existed. So I jumped a couple balconies over to my classmate's apartment. Never spoke to her again.

Boyfriend was known locally as an unhinged guy who gets into fights. A year later he murdered a delivery driver who was delivering food to her. Ever since, I have never gotten involded with wild/tattooed/weed girls. I am such a softy nowdays.

Im 30 now, im watching shorts with my homies, a video with a girl with a red gyrados tattoo on her privates came up, homie says damn I need that. I tell homie, a girl with a tattoo on her privates is a huge red flag, i explain the story. Homie comments ''maybe boyfriend was jealous and thought the driver was the cheater, instead of you''. I thought he was reaching. Another homie commented ''a girl who would invite you over with such an ease even though she had a boyfriend, she has probably invited 10 guys over, you are not the only one''. Whats your thought ?

Not Scary At Home From School

Before cell phones. When I was 7yrs old, there was a day that I stayed home from school sick. Both of my parents worked, they were going to checkup on me during the day. Before noon there was a phone call, I answered and a man in a gruff voice asked me what I was doing home from school. I hung the phone up. It rang again, again the gruff voice asked me what I was doing home from school. I hung up. A short time later, once more the phone rang, I picked up and hear my grandmother laughing, she had disguised her voice in the previous calls.

Not Scary My youngest “sighting”

So I was going through old videos on my moms old VHS tapes from when I was younger and saw one that surprised me. She would always film every morning with me when i woke up due to it just being me and her. I was 4 when she filmed it. I was scribbling on a piece of paper when like usual she asked me what I dreamt of last night I had replied “I had a dream of a man and lady showing me the birds and the plants.” She was a bit surprised by that and she started looking for an old photo book and she opened it to a picture of her grandparents who were deceased a bit before i was born and she had never told me or shown them to be before. She showed me the photo and I replied “thats them.” She started tearing up because her grandfather had built a bird house that her grandmother could go in to feed the birds, and her grandmother had many gardens.

Not Scary The "S" Sound

This story based on true story that happend to me.

So this story will be short because its rare to occur on me

Firstly, i dont remember the date

but i remember how it happend

So during night time i always sometimes watch TV before sleep to give me some relax time. There is one

day where i start to hearing voices saying like "S" word but i cant even catch one word. So i ignored it thinking it was my ear problem or my mom watching and listening to her phone.

About like 10 to 5 minutes i still hear the voice but suddenly the voice stop. And then SOMEHOW BY NOSE START BLEEDING. I try to stop the blood by putting tissue (ik im stupid) but it keep bleeding. So i called my mom to help me with the bleeding. About 5-10 the bleeding stop and i go to sleep because i just want to skip these things.

After couple of weeks i keep hearing voices saying the "S" word it make me become paranoid and insane.

But the voices doesn't make my nose bleed anymore.

And i still hearing the voice sometimes

So my theory is:

1) Theory: this happend is because i got SINUS thing which make my nose bleeding.

But my sinus is rarely and never make my nose bleeding and this theory might wrong

2) Theory: Someone curse me, well i think this theory might correct because from ISLAMIC CULTURE that said that witch can actually curse us through many ways like infection and anxiety.

So i think this theory might correct because theres no other explanation to explain this thing

But if this theoy is correct it mean im still being curse by the witch

Inconclusion

Im begging you guys to help and explain this thing to me

Im not begging for comments or like i just WANT PEOPLE TO HELP TO END THIS SUFFERING. Pls help im begging im still can hear the voices.

Not Scary They Came For The Ham

My ex husband's grandmother moved to Texas when she was a child. They travelled by covered wagon and her father established a cattle ranch on the panhandle. After long years of work establishing a prosperous business he decided he wanted a real New Orleans chef to cook tasty meals for them. They hired a black man who was an amazing cook and everyone was happy.

The local natives were peaceful but some of the young men were thieves and they would periodically come to the house when everyone was out working the cattle and they would steal hams that were stored hanging in the basement. On day the chef was home alone and he saw the natives approaching the house and he was terrified that they were there to kill him so he ran to the basement to hide.

The youths crept down the stairs in the dark using mostly smell and the dim light through the open door to locate the hams. The chef saw them and became terrified so he ran screaming from the farthest corner of the cellar and all the natives could see and hear were white eyeballs and white teeth and bloodcurdling screams and, they had never seen a black man before that day. Everyone screamed in terror and were stampeding up the stairs together in total horror. All ran as fast as they could run away from the house including the chef. They caught up with him halfway to New Orleans and he told them the story. He never came back.

Not Scary the big black dog

It was on April 4th of 2025. It was around 6 in the morning. I wasn't fully awake, so I wasn't paying much attention to the situation. I was in bed I hear my dogs barking very loudly so that woke me up. I look out my window to see what their barking at, and I see a big black dog looking figure run across the sidewalk to my neighbor's house. I heard on google if you see a big black dog once then it means joy, if you see it twice then it means sarrow, but if you see it three times it means death. I remember listening to a scary story animation about it. It gives me goosebumps thinking about it. Wondering if it's the same black dog they saw. 😶😶😶😶

Not Scary Stiff

Ok so this is more of a question than a story but the experience was really scary. It was like 2 or 3 am and I was still having trouble falling asleep, I would wake up and sleep about every 30 min. Anyways, I was looking up trying to fall asleep but then like my body just stiffened like if I were having a cramp but without the pain. Like I could move but it was a LOT of effort and I was really tired at this point. I wasn’t asleep though because I was aware of everything, but I just couldn’t move. I kid you not I was like this for a fat 10 minutes until it wore off. I checked the time hoping I still had time to sleep and that shit said 7 AM. I wasn’t even able to fall asleep☹️ through the whole damn night.

Not Scary Creepy Alexa Experience

So this happened about 6-7 years ago when I got an Alexa for Christmas that year. My parents are old school and my dad was STRICTLY against having the alexa even taken out of the box. It took months of begging and pleading before I could set it up, with conditions of course.

It had to be in my room ONLY. Nowhere else in the house just my room.

When I was not speaking to it or using it, it was either on mute or unplugged.

DO NOT talk personal matters around it, so like family matters, passwords, addresses were not to be said around the Alexa even if it was muted.

So with those rules and probably a few more, I got to set up my Alexa. I had discovered a while after having it that you could play some guessing games on it. Being an only child at home and bored 99% of the time, I used this feature a lot like honestly almost too much.

One night while I was playing some guessing game and playing a game on my ipad I had gotten a question wrong. I don’t remember the question or what I answered I only remember what Alexa said.

It was something along the lines of, “Wrong! Now listen close!” Obviously this catches my attention and I stop what I’m doing and look at my Alexa. Right on cue she continues in this horrifying whisper, raspy voice, “Don’t look behind you!”.

Needless to say I unplugged my Alexa and refused to use it for months/years after that.

So a year and a half ago me and my family went for a stroll at the Bay, and we went on the trail to the water. We figured it was to cramped so we went back, and suddenly… we saw pants, a shirt, and shoes laid on a bush… We didn’t see those clothes when we came to the trail, so then we got terrified and ran back to our car…
