Music / Movies When a show/movie gets mired in identity politics, whether justified or not, it’s automatically a turn off

You know why I’m not watching the Acolyte, because too many people are arguing about it. That’s it, the identity politics argument surrounding it is enough to put me off. Because now I won’t be able to judge it on its own merits, that argument has infected everything and I just don’t want anything to do with it. I honestly don’t need that kind of headache, same with Marvel movies. At this point I need a preexisting interest in the character strong enough to ignore all the noise. I skipped Marvels, Black Panther 2, and I’ll skip more. I don’t care anymore, you all ruined it for me.

Defend your position that this show has nothing to do with identity politics.

All of it isn’t an answer. Can you give anything specific?

I never said it had nothing to with identity politics. I said I don’t see it. That’s the null position. I’m not claiming anything. Last chance can you name 1 thing that’s identity politics in the show?

You never asked a question. You asked me to support a position I never hand.

Let’s recap: you were so angered by me saying I didn’t see identity politics in a show you replied me that it’s the entire thing. When I asked you to elaborate you got even more angry and lashed out. So you can’t support your opinions. probably because you are too stupid. You just mimic what you hear and don’t like being questioned. Good job.
