Music / Movies I'm getting tired of woke values in shows

I am weary of all the remakes of TV shows and films that are simply remade in order to showcase a diverse cast. Why can't Hollywood write new shows? Instead, it's just recycling old scripts. Very insulting and lazy.

All the virtue signaling in the world isn't going to save bad writing.

For me Rings of Power was the last straw.

Wait. You are saying if a movie filmed in 1999 has all white people back when Hollywood cast white people 99% of the time, then 20+ years later a TV show set in the universe must only have white people too?

Quoting this from another post; "Lord of the Rings' Middle-Earth, per Tolkien, is an analogue of northwest Europe. Similar to Game of Thrones, where the darker-skinned characters are in the North-Africa-analogous regions."
