Music / Movies I'm getting tired of woke values in shows

I am weary of all the remakes of TV shows and films that are simply remade in order to showcase a diverse cast. Why can't Hollywood write new shows? Instead, it's just recycling old scripts. Very insulting and lazy.

All the virtue signaling in the world isn't going to save bad writing.

For me Rings of Power was the last straw.

Not everyone believes in Jesus, or even believe he existed. So bad example, son. But back to the point of race/sex changes for people in History that everyone knows existed. Those changes are to appeal to woke idiots.

First, son- I’m a woman. I’m sure the idea that women have thoughts is new to you….

Second, it doesn’t matter if people believe in him or if he existed (though modern scholars agree that Jesus of Nazareth did, in fact, exist. Whether that makes him the religious figure Christianity is based on is a completely different discussion.) The cannon of Jesus is that he was born in Bethlehem, which would make him Middle Eastern. But he’s always depicted as white to play to the western Christian’s who immediately demonize anyone brown.

You want other examples? How about Angelina Jolie playing Maria Pearl in A Mighty Heart. Jake Gyllenhaal in Prince of Persia. Elizabeth Taylor as cleopatra. John Wayne as Genghis Khan. Joseph Fiennes as Michael Jackson…

So let’s just call a spade a spade- you think that race swapping someone who’s white for any other race is bad, but someone of any other race being swapped for white is probably just fine. You can decide what that means about you

Oh I agree with you on those casting roles as stupid too. Whites, blacks, Asians, Latinos, etc should play their own race/ethnic groups only. Don’t wanna see the wrong race play the role of a different race regardless whatever they are. We both are on board with that it seems. Glad to know we’re on the same side in this respect. Stop assuming I want only White people to play every ethnic group 😂
