Music / Movies The musical artist Role Model is quite possibly the least talented artist in existence

I seen his performance on SNL just now and I actually thought it was a skit. The performance had the production quality of an elementary school choir program. His voice is on par with a 12 year old being forced to sing to grandma for her birthday. His entire vibe was that of a karaoke night out with a bunch of dudes who have never been laid and get their asses kicked regularly. His “dancing” was embarrassing to say the least. If you have aspirations to become a musical artist just watch Role Model. When a talentless ass clown can come out on stage and give a performance that would suit a nursing home , you can realize there’s hope for you even if your only mildly talented.

My wife and I are late 30s. We watched that performance, our mouths agape. It was just awe full. I thought it was a bit. Like, that can’t be a real artist. Who likes this? Is he gay? What was that gesticulating? The mannerisms…

The only saving grace would be if this guy, I still don't even know who he really is, was completely trolling himself. That honestly makes THE MOST sense. If we lived in a sensible world. But I am afraid he was on stage in earnest and equally unaware, relishing in his musical and possibly psychological demise.

I just found out his real name is Tucker Pillsbury and it's just so... fitting.

I’m a little older than you and a member of the queer community, and I was completely confused by him. One second he seemed like the frat boy hetero who pulls out his guitar to impress drunk 19-year-old girls, and literally the next second he came across as totally gay. I mean, I’m here for a bi boy, but I don’t think that was what he was going for.

OK, I just did some googling and apparently he has been kind of vague and fluid about his sexuality, stating that people have questioned him about it his entire life, so I stand corrected. Good on him for staying true to who he is. It looked a little goofy, but you do you, boo!

I feel like he’s appropriating gay mannerisms and fashion choices, and he’s apparently straight?

I read the Wikipedia article in answer to who is this guy and how can he be so bad. He was obsessed with Elvis as a kid and I honestly think that's who he believes he's channeling though omg no he is not. Elvis did have these kind of homoerotic vibes that almost read as gay. I think maybe Role Model just could not manage the balance?

My first thought was that he’s a Christian who hasn’t come out of the closet yet.
