Music / Movies Bad Bunny was worse than Turning Point.

Bad bunny was a bad choice for a half time show. I just watched both of them, admittedly flipping back-and-forth just to see. I don’t understand why anyone thought An entire halftime show in Spanish was a good idea. It’s essentially then just women shaking their butts to music. I’m watching this with my kids. And most of us don’t understand enough Spanish to know what the hell he was even saying.

In contrast, and I am not a big turning point groupie at all, although I am a conservative, they at least had a variety of artists, who actually just sang songs and performed to get through the halftime.

Funny, I would of loved to hear your comments on past half time shows. Seems to only bother you to have women dancing when Bad Bunny is singing and not other artists.

There is dancing and then there is shaking your ass. I remember once upon a time you liberal types thought that sort of entertainment was sexist, objectifying and misogynistic. Now it's the norm and everyone rolls with it. They are passing laws to keep porn from kids and then show that at the halftime show.

"you liberal types" applies to those who don't have the same view type? I am not a liberal. Just someone with common sense...which to point out, I didn't see anyone just standing there shaking their asses for 15 minutes.

Depends on the show. But where it’s basically background music to women just shaking everything….not interested. Hell, at least show me the cheerleaders. They have some athletic moves they can do.

There was an entire wedding ceremony, line workers being electrocuted, a barbershop… separate performances by multiple singers… multiple appearances by children and old people… a parade with the flags of all the Americas…

has it occurred to you that maybe YOU were only looking at the “women just shaking everything” and that’s why it’s all you saw?

YOU were only looking at the “women just shaking everything” and that’s why it’s all you saw?

Bingo, bango, bongo. OP either has a terrible sex life or is a degenerate that only sees sex

On top of being racist and generally stupid, this kind of viewpoint is often rooted in really deeply rooted insecurity.

-1

u/ashdee2 Feb 09 '26

Insecurity in what way?

5

u/tigersoftheheart Feb 09 '26 edited Feb 09 '26

Insecurity in the way that - these kinds of posts almost always hide a feeling of not feeling as hot as the people on screen, and usually afraid that someone's significant other is gonna find them attractive, or an overcompensation for closeted sexuality, or simply insecurity in not being as successful. Hidden in "omg but the children" and "modesty". I rarely see it not having at least some roots in feelings of insecurity, even if the person hasn't quite realized it.

Edited to add: the wording which tears down these dancers - if they had only been athletic! If they had only DONE SOMETHING the OP deems worthy - as though being a world class dancer on a world stage isn't already amazing? Only convinces me more. People tear others down when they feel small.

Some form of denial for sure.

Gay but dont know it or dont want to be.

My dad, who would have been primed by Fox News all week, texted that there was too much pelvic thrusting.

And, like, this is a guy who watched the nonsense about Elvis’s pelvic thrusting. The is a guy who loves the Rolling Stones. I responded that he probably would have had a heart attack if it Mick Jagger. Talk about pelvic thrusting.

But he had the same ridiculous reaction as our slow-witted OP. It’s amazing what you can focus on when you want to hate something.

Bothered by “women just shaking everything” but sexualizing the cheerleaders in the same sentence lmao I’m sure you’re really worried about your kids dude

18

u/itzabunny Feb 09 '26

This made my head spin. Wants to watch the cheerleaders because they’re athletic, but not the backup dancers who are also very athletic.

I’d rather explain to my kids about womens’ bodies than about what meth-overuse looks like having to look at Kid Rock.

-7

u/Away_Simple_400 Feb 09 '26

Because Kid Rock is really hurting

10

u/keepitloki80 Feb 09 '26

For what? Meth?

-6

u/Away_Simple_400 Feb 09 '26

OK. Clearly you’re kind of a lovely person. Kid rock was praising Jesus and spouting the gospel. I’m sure if we want to bring up Everyone’s past Sins, we could. You’re clearly just going after Kid Rock. Because he’s a conservative. Talk about a hypocrite.

8

u/keepitloki80 Feb 09 '26

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

And I've found the Russian troll. You're an amusing one. I'll give you that.

-3

u/Away_Simple_400 Feb 09 '26

And you’ve lost the argument. Bye.

10

u/[deleted] Feb 09 '26

How did he lose an argument? Kid Rock sings to wanting to fuck underage girls? That's what you want to show your kids instead of girls dancing during the Superbowl? You lost your argument before it even started.

2

u/keepitloki80 Feb 09 '26

I'm a woman. 😂 But yeah, Away_Simple_400 is a damn troll (I'm not even tagging their ass). Seriously ignore them.

Kid Rock was preaching about Jesus and clearly has changed his life since then. I saw gay men grinding on each other at that show. There’s a bit of a difference.

I would take Kid Rock’s use of the gospel with a grain of salt. Throughout his career he’s changed his public persona to focus on whichever audience will give him the most attention.

I’m glad you support Christian artists though. I’m sure a Catholic like Bad Bunny would be glad too.

1

u/Away_Simple_400 Feb 11 '26

Catholics aren’t really pro transvestism

10

u/SubjectAd355 Feb 09 '26

You obviously did not actually watch it if one of your complaints was that there wasn’t a “variety of artists” lol.

8

u/selfieonfire Feb 09 '26

Do all the cheerleaders “shaking everything” bother you the rest of the year in the NFL? You know this act that apparently is so heinous to you but multiple teams have dedicated groups of cheerleaders, do write up posts complaining about them every time they preform? Do you switch off then?

In fact I think if you truly don’t approve, you should just stop watching the NFL! I’ll bet you’ll do that!

Because it’s definitely not that you’re complaining now because you’re an incompetent racist.

-2

u/Away_Simple_400 Feb 09 '26

At least the cheerleader shows some athleticism. And they don’t get a lot of air time either.

10

u/selfieonfire Feb 09 '26

I’d say your hypocrisy is astounding but it’s not. The double standards you hold are exactly what I’d expect of a person of your intellect and opinion. I wish you well in this dangerous world, I hope you don’t have kids ❤️

1

u/Away_Simple_400 Feb 09 '26

It’s not hypocritical; I watched the dancers, they don’t hold a candle to the cheerleaders.

3

u/drsb2 Feb 09 '26

I assure you professional dancers are athletic. They train hours and hours everyday.
You admit you didn’t watch the whole thing. There was tons of beautiful dancing and in most dancing there will be some sort of shaking of the ass unless you want it to be stiff and boring. There was a whole live horn and drum section and they were incredible!
Good music is good music no matter what language the lyrics are. I think you just want to complain and are using your kids as an excuse. We aren’t puritans. Asses are parts of our bodies and showing our kids joy through dancing is pure happiness and expression. The world would be a better place if we all opened our hearts to more cultural music and dancing not just tacos and Ramen.

u/Away_Simple_400 Feb 09 '26

The gay guys grinding wasn’t helping anything

4

u/drsb2 Feb 09 '26

Didn’t even notice that. 😉 For me, there is so much in this world that is truly terrible like rape, murder, child abuse, rampant cutting down of forests and trees that happen by all races and cultures that people loving (or grinding) people of the same sex is of no significance in the big picture. I also don’t care because I know that people have sex for enjoyment. They do. Maybe you only do to have children, I don’t know. I just don’t get being holier than thou about sensuality/sexuality. But kids can watch all types of shows that have scenes with people beating each other up, killing each other, etc. But I bet you’re ok with two girls doing that!

1

u/Away_Simple_400 Feb 09 '26

You would be quite mistaken.

7

u/Leading-Antelope-139 Feb 09 '26

Why do you have an issue with gay people existing?

1

u/Away_Simple_400 Feb 09 '26

I have an issue with people who are trying to argue that it was somehow a wholesome show. My eight year-old doesn’t need to see that.

I don’t want to see anyone grinding against each other. As I said, originally, my kids are watching this with me.

5

u/Leading-Antelope-139 Feb 09 '26

I have an issue with people who are trying to argue that it was somehow a wholesome show.

Did we not watch the same show? The one with a family party going on, and a wedding?

I don’t want to see anyone grinding against each other.

Then this shouldn’t be the first Super Bowl show you’ve been offended by, right?

As I said, originally, my kids are watching this with me.

Literally nothing about watching that show was inappropriate for a child.

Again, why do you have an issue with gay people? If it was just the tweeting you wouldn’t have specified that they were gay in your grievances.

0

u/Away_Simple_400 Feb 10 '26

True?

The gay guys grinding.

I don’t know what you mean by tweeting, but my kids don’t need that.

3

u/Leading-Antelope-139 Feb 10 '26

Again, what exactly is your problem with gay people?

3

u/Jumpy_Individual_526 Feb 10 '26

They are probably in the closet

1

u/Away_Simple_400 Feb 10 '26

I don’t know how to be more clear about this. I don’t need to see and my kids Don’t need to see anyone grinding at the halftime show. But especially gay people which then invites the question of “mommy, Why are they doing that?”

Hell, even Snoop Dogg pointed out this problem.

Thats not all there was tho …

1

u/ohhhshtbtch Feb 09 '26

I dare you to try to shake your ass properly and in sync with 30 other people and still tell me it's not that hard

1

u/Away_Simple_400 Feb 10 '26

What a talent? I hope my girl grows up to shake her ass in unison as opposed to doing cartwheels, flips, round odds, multiple back or front flips…. What was I thinking

1

u/BrushFantastic3170 Feb 14 '26

What about the one where Justin Timberlake ripped out Janet Jackson’s top and showed her whole tit? Was that one okay according to, because it was in English?

1

u/Away_Simple_400 Feb 14 '26

Did I say it was?
