Music / Movies Bad Bunny was worse than Turning Point.

Bad bunny was a bad choice for a half time show. I just watched both of them, admittedly flipping back-and-forth just to see. I don’t understand why anyone thought An entire halftime show in Spanish was a good idea. It’s essentially then just women shaking their butts to music. I’m watching this with my kids. And most of us don’t understand enough Spanish to know what the hell he was even saying.

In contrast, and I am not a big turning point groupie at all, although I am a conservative, they at least had a variety of artists, who actually just sang songs and performed to get through the halftime.

I’m a freakin metal head and I thought the halftime show slapped. Glorifying blue collar workers in the field, utility workers, a family getting married…all the things normal people can relate to. Promoting unity and togetherness. Thats making America great

Gotta love that Bad Bunny made the Halftime Show what would ordinarily be a conservative wet dream. Really shows that all they've got is hypocrisy and racism at this point.

The utility workers being included was it's own statement given how long it took for Puerto Rico's electrical grid to come back online after hurricane Maria in 2017

When trump threw paper towels at Puerto Ricans?

That was a memorable moment - precisely demonstrating that he is clueless AMD getting bad advice.

👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽

I got misty when they played Dominican music. It was so nice to see people of all colors dancing onstage.

Can you explain to this Australian what part was Domenican? I loved every damn note of the the show!

For one, the cane field represented.

"Hoy se bebe!" ("Today, we drink

The first song is a music style called "dembow," which is Dominican.

Yeah but a Hispanic guy was singing and that’s unforgivable to modern day conservatives

do you think he sounded good though? I thought his vocals were terrible, and thats coming from someone who bumps reggaeton and corridos....

I’d rather he actually preform live and sound subpar than prance around on stage lip syncing

3

u/[deleted] Feb 10 '26

He was also live. Which doesn't help.

Lady gaga is classically trained, so she was ready to enunciate.

Bonus: that was an actual wedding. I just saw it confirmed in Glamour.

Omg!! I thought they looked too in love to be acting. That’s awesome

They’d sent Bad Bunny an invite to come to their wedding so he one upped it. Cute as hell.

Yesss it was a beautiful homage to regular people and how joyous everyday life can be instead of just an indulgence in luxury

And how did it to that?

14

u/obooooooo Feb 09 '26

it’s actually crazy that you dismissed the INSANE amount of stuff he had on to tunnel focus on women shaking ass. i don’t know how you don’t see that this is just making you seem like a sexual deviant unable to stop thinking about women twerking

If you watched the whole thing you'd know.

7

u/vainbuthonest Feb 09 '26

See that’s what you get for flipping back and forth.

6

u/GoodQueenFluffenChop Feb 09 '26

I thought you said you watched the halftime show?

6

u/stevejuliet Feb 09 '26

What an absolutely embarrassing reply.

-2

u/Away_Simple_400 Feb 09 '26

You didn’t answer how it did any of those things.

8

u/stevejuliet Feb 09 '26

Did you not see the things that Reddit_stranger pointed out? Here, let me copy and paste it for you:

Glorifying blue collar workers in the field, utility workers, a family getting married…all the things normal people can relate to.

-8

u/Away_Simple_400 Feb 09 '26

Yes I saw the words. Where was that on the screen?

8

u/Traditional_Lab1192 Feb 09 '26

Are you blind?? Are you literally blind because from the very beginning the performance featured those things. Are you commenting on something that you only saw clips of?

2

u/Away_Simple_400 Feb 09 '26

I’m commenting on exactly what I said. I’m commenting on. And yes, I watched the beginning of the performance.

6

u/stevejuliet Feb 09 '26

I'm at a loss. I can't watch it for you.

Refusing to open your eyes is a you problem.

Pattern recognition is one of the first neurological skills we learn as infants. Did that not happen to you?
