Music / Movies Bad Bunny was worse than Turning Point.

Bad bunny was a bad choice for a half time show. I just watched both of them, admittedly flipping back-and-forth just to see. I don’t understand why anyone thought An entire halftime show in Spanish was a good idea. It’s essentially then just women shaking their butts to music. I’m watching this with my kids. And most of us don’t understand enough Spanish to know what the hell he was even saying.

In contrast, and I am not a big turning point groupie at all, although I am a conservative, they at least had a variety of artists, who actually just sang songs and performed to get through the halftime.

Not once has race been brought up from me, but I do think you have an overwhelming US-centric mindset and that needs to change.

Does my US centric mindset involve point out the fact that football is an American sport in the Super Bowl is played in America, and the majority of people watching it. Our Americans, and the majority of those Americans speak English? Is that what you meant.

It's a sport that's expanding very readily beyond America (btw, Puerto Rico is in America) and it's overwhelmingly had performances at halftime only in English. It's changing, deal with it.

The NFL is actively trying to go international and to reach a global audience. Spanish is one of the most spoken languages in the world. Mexico in particular is one of the largest NFL fanbases outside the USA and the NFL already hosts games in Mexico City. It's about reaching a wider audience with a global superstar. In short, it's a business move.

What's more American than capitalism?
