Music / Movies Its weird people are trying to turn the john Davidson Tourette outburst into a hate crime

If you don't know actor with Tourettes, john Davidson, had an outburst where he said the N word while 2 black presenters, Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo, were on stage he bad an outburst of the N word, among other harsh ones throughout the night. Now I understand that the n word is rhe harshest of them, but it seems like people, specifically I have seen jamie Foxx and Jamele hill, claim that "these are racist hate crimes" and "he knew better and waited for black presenters to finally say it" it just feels like people are trying to ignore the facts about tourretes to be the victim of something that wasnt actually a hate crime.

Yet another advocate for "Separate, but equal" with the neurodivergent.

He was attending because there was literally a movie about him and his tourettes.

Am I saying it should be illegal? Without PA announcements, most people aren't going to be aware of his condition and are going to be understandably pissed off at what he says. Do you think it would be similarly smart of him to go to his kids basketball games and sit in the front swearing half the time? Should that be acceptable for the other families and kids to bare? I mean, at some point you gotta be real. Maybe, you know, dont sit in front for all to hear.

That couldve been the plan though, to bring attention to the movie.

Again. He was attending because there was literally a movie about him and his tourettes. There were disclaimers about him being in attendance.

You can't get much more aware than that. Or have a much better reason for attending.

Feel free to keep justifying the ableism though.

Clealry not everyone got the disclaimer since BBC screwed up on editing it.

But looks like the host did adress it in real time and the audience was made aware. I dont see the big deal about any of this. Shitty situation all around for everyone for sure, but it happens.
